why do my horses keep pulling up in flat races even though i am checking the head boy and he says the horse is ready to go

why do my horses keep pulling up in flat races even though i am checking the head boy and he says the horse is ready to go

Not sure why this is happening. My only thought is you are racing them too far ie a 1200m/6f runner over 2400m/1m4f. |
