We still need a couple of volunteers for the upcoming League Season. I believe we still need at least 1 race kit runner - 1 handicapper and to a much lesser degree another caller or two. Race kit runner and handicapper are priority! The more in the lighter the load. Full support will be given to get you up and running and it will be on going. For race kit you will probably have to have a decent pc or lap top. For handicapping I believe just a standard pc or laptop will do - maybe even a tablet? Just leave a note below if you are interested in helping out or if you need more info. Cheers ![]() |

I'm currently not signed up to the league and I doubt I'll be joining anytime soon. I'd still like to know more details of what is actually involved? |

Do you mean joining online league or race running if you run races it would mean running at least 16 races 8 flat 8 jumps over Saturday And Sunday recording the Race on Bandicam or whatever device you have to record your game live. You then put the races into my Dropbox so Doug or whoever can do the coms can add to the race I would give you a Race Kit that's works with your Game so you can run them you would collect the horses from folders in my Dropbox put them into your Horses folder in your game and run the in race in the Race Kits Construction Kit you will have to type in the Races Name and click all the information of Course type of race Ground etc. I Can send you a quick Film/Guide or upload one to you tube so you can see. If you would like to know more about the Online League this is the Online League You Tube Channel where all races are uploaded. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNzbn9 ... idx5pNkHaQ If you want to know how to export horse files to join the league watch this film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKFSxSw74QY If you want to sign up and upload to join League we now have a new Site Called Tom you can do that here http://startersordersonlineleague.com/#/ Gray |

Rlp You don't need to be running horses (joining) in the league to volunteer with race running. Your computer stats are very good to do race running - do you know what graphics/video card your computer is running? If you are running at 60fps it must be very good ![]() If you don't know much about the league - pretty much it is made up of people like yourself playing single player - in single player you can save your good horses then transport them to a larger central 'virtual stable' (TOM) where you can run against other single players horses in our organised league. (sorry if I am repeating what you already know) If you have only been playing for a short time - any horses you have bred and saved (probably) wouldn't be strong enough for the league. BUT it is a lot of fun, interesting and exciting and if you have some spare time on your hands for about 13 weeks and would like to get involved you are very welcome to join the team. As I mentioned in my post we are here to help and provide support for you to get up and running and along the way ![]() |

I'm really trying to figure out how much time it would actually take, some weekends are busier than others and I wouldn't want to commit unless I can give 100% |

I'm not so much up to date with Radeon - I run Nvidea ![]() Race running - Gray said in an earlier post that 10 flat races takes around 90mins to do - and 10 Jumps races around 2 hours. I guess if you have a think about what you can comfortably handle over the weekend and take it from there. I'm not sure what Gray needs but I figure if you can do 10 flat and 10 jumps each weekend Gray would be as happy as if England won a second World Cup lol ![]() BUT even if you can commit to just 10 races - everyone in the community will be very pleased ![]() Have a think about it - I know as one of the race callers......being able to call from a nice clear race replay makes my life way easier and I know your pc will do that ![]() Doug |

"Simpleminds some video tutorials of whats involved would be awesome." I haven't done it before but I guess you'd get a file for a race with all the horses nominated in it - then you'll play the race like you'd do in your own single player game - the only difference I think is that you also video record the race. You then drop the recorded race into Drop Box and then myself and the other race callers access it and we record the commentaries for each race. We then send our recorded comms to Gray and he embeds the comms to the video. From memory the first day of racing is released at mid-night on Sunday night then the next day at mid-night Monday night and the last day at mid-night on Tuesday night. Once you get into it and start recognising horses names and some of the big races it does get a bit exciting - especially over the jumps (nothing like the red hot Champ dropping the rider at the last while well clear to get my wine fuelled comms at fever peak lol) - the hardest part is keeping quiet in the forums until that days racing has been released. ![]() |

Commentating sounds like a bit of fun. As an auctioneer I have always fancied myself as the next Peter O'Sullevan !! Any vacancies in that department would be of interest to me. |

I think there is! All you need is a mic of any standard and to download Audacity recording software (or any software you may have or familiar with) Audacity is free. You will need to download Dropbox as well. Sounds like you'll not have a problem - best thing to do is just run a couple of flat and jumps races on your single player game - turn down the volume and give it a couple of practice calls ![]() Hopefully Gray will see this post and fill you in with the finer details. I previously did the handicapping in the old league for both codes. I will be willing to do the handicapping again. I will also commit to a trainers/handicapping thread on the forum where trainers can ask about their handicap mark for their runners etc. Regards Conor |
