Question from a total newbie. Are all class 1 races group races or are there listed Class 1 races

In the UK, all Group and Listed races are Class 1. These are the only races that are Class 1.

I was playing an aus game, was more wondering if there was any class 1 races that weren't Group races? Been jumping from C2 straight into Group 3 races and was just wondering if there were was something in between, such as c1 listed races that weren't Group races? Haven't been able to find any. :(
Hope that made sense, cheers.

Ah, sorry, I haven’t looked at the Australian schedule. Listed races should still be Class 1, even though they’re the level below Group races, but it’s possible that not very many of them have been included in the default schedule.

The racing hierarchy in the UK generally goes

CLASS 1
Group 1
Group 2
Group 3
Listed (Listed Handicaps do exist, but are rare).

CLASS 2 - Feature race handicaps
CLASS 3 - Handicaps and conditions races
CLASS 4 - Handicaps and maidens
CLASS 5 - Handicaps, maidens, claimers
CLASS 6 - Handicaps, maidens, claimers, sellers
CLASS 7 - Handicaps, claimers, sellers

I know Australian racing does have Group race handicaps, unsure whether they have these in America but they certainly don't have them in the UK or Ireland. For example the Melbourne Cup is a Group One handicap.
