				  Likely to prefer xxx ?

In the small horse description snip what does 'likely to prefer xxx (cut, top of ground, etc) mean?

I have been avoiding using them in my breeding shed because it seems that it is a trait that is more then often passed.

any help is appreciated : )

Cut in the ground is soft and top of the ground is firm, I think!

Yes, cut is a preference for soft ground and top of the groud is likely to prefer firm.

I tend to ignore this because often in my horses' description the top of the box will say preference for firm and the description will say 'likely to prefer cut'.
