Hi, I have a few questions about Starters Orders, I couldn't find any topics related to them so I thought I'd post one. 1. Does this game simulate the fact that some horses will age quicker than others due to genetic variation OR do all horses drop off in ability at around the same age? For instance a flat racing horse with good longevity (slower ageing) would not drop in ability until say 9-10yo whilst one with poorer longevity (increased ageing) would drop in ability at say 6-7yo. 2. Do horses have some kind of hidden potential ability which affects how good they can become OR or is it just training - so for instance with brilliant training you make any horse become a world beater? |

Regarding the age thing, I've found i've struggled to win many of the major jump races with horses aged 10 or over. Now that's obviously equivalent to the real thing, but I've found it slightly exaggerated in the game. |

I've found the same thing, I've had some great horses (both chasers and hurdlers) and once they have hit 9-10 they just decline very quickly and its not even worth racing them unless your happy with watching them fade badly in the final 2 furlongs (even of a 2m race) |
