I will like to know where I can locate the files of horses I have retired to game pool. I will like to make back up copies of those.

I don't know if you can. I had always assumed they just return to the game pool, returning in the future as re-cycled and un-raced "fresh" horses (with the same name of course). This also accounts for names re-appearing in the future for both game horses and player trained horses that you haven't exported from the game.


Short answer is to export them (don't retire them to the game pool).

My Documents - Starters Orders 5 - Saves - TTF.DAT

Copy and paste the file in the folder, and rename it as something else. That way if you wish to import the horse into a different game, you can import it as many times as you wish throughout a range of games, providing you keep a backup copy of the ttf.dat file.

1m Fillies etc
