 Owners Mode
What happens once youve had the horses taken away from you from the owner. do you get different owners then approach you with horses or is that game over & start again?
Finished season 1 thinking i'd get some new owner & horses at start of season 2 but nothing so far.

 Re: Owners Mode
I Have to say that the attitudes of these owners are very realistic.... owners thinking their horses are much better than they really are!!!!!! well ha ha cos the horse they took off me did even worse with the new guy!

 Re: Owners Mode
Does holding an "open day" at your stables help to attract any new owners?

 Re: Owners Mode
You need to make your car park a pay and display then!

 Re: Owners Mode
Only just started playing about with this mode, have not got far enough in to be offered any other horses, But I do like the fact the owners sends you messages asking if the horse should be backed in the race or not.

 Re: Owners Mode
To attract owners you need a decent reputation. A bit chicken and egg really but to build your reputation you can do two things. Improve your Stable (this is a good idea anyway) and train winners (obviously winning bigger races is better!). One you have a decent reputation OPEN DAY'S will be much more successful!
An indication of your current reputation in on the MY DATA screen portrait (stars running across the portrait - the further the better).
Each owner who has horses with you also has a separate 'opinion' of you based mainly on their horses performances but also on your communications. If you don't answer any questions they may ask the opinion will go down. If you give them bad tips on their horses the opinion will go down. Good tips obviously have the opposite effect.
Starting this mode can be difficult and often requires the player to earn some extra cash to help build the stables by betting.

 Re: Owners Mode
hi love the owners game,so much potential and moves the game a bit faster,i had 5 horses in my stable just added a few improvements, and ran a few races ,they were not up to much, but won the queens prize at kempton, had my open day,and a new trainer sent me his string, cant win an egg and spoon race with them ,but maybe use sellers and claimers to get some wins.....some great improvements and loads of potential loving it well done the team that worked on it

 Re: Owners Mode
I now have 21 horses. Sultan someone or other has moved his entire string of 15 horses to my stable. I don't need the money because I won a lot betting so I reduced my training fee's to £60 a week and my percentage of prize money. I had a horse owned by my original owner win a seller and the new owner kept it with me, but he kept leaving. I was experimenting so I kept ctrl-alt-deleting the game and found that he didn't leave once I reduced my training fees and winning percentage and since my most recent open day, like I said I have gained 15 horses!
It's more than just training winners, I haven't had a horse out of the first 5 yet for these owners, but they still kept moving their horses. You need to look at the whole owning picture.

 Re: Owners Mode
I have all the best features and after a couple of races the trainer pulled all his horses, even though they were shocking horses which didn't stand a chance.
Will keep trying and hope to get some better horses. But have been 7 months without any now.

 Re: Owners Mode
I'm the same. Got a perfect stable, with millions in the bank from betting, but no horses. Lost my two best horses after they won some races, and naff horses kept on losing til the owner got annoyed. But... crackin' game Mark; really done a sterling job here.
