hello all seniors,

I am trialling horses for the first time in SO but will like to know what will be the times to aim for. I have seen people posting the times as follows but am not certain under what kind of conditions. Example, going, weight and gender.

1000m 5f – 57.5s to 57.0s
1200m 6f – 1.10.50s to 1.10.0s
1400m 7f – 1.23.80s to 1.23.30s
1600m 1m – 1.38.80s to 1.38.40s
2000m 1m2– 2.7.50s to 2.7.0s
2400m 1m4 – 2.33.50s to 2.33.0s
2800m 1m6 – 3.5.80s to 3.4.80s

Would appreciate any kind of feedback or advice. Thanks. :P

Unless they're 2yo's! he he.

Look on the online league discussion page. There are thousands of topics about exactly what you're asking about.

sorry guys another question. I read somewhere saying the best in the game may not be the best in CK. So if its for league purpose do I gather that the best approach is to breed the best in CK within the game. That is, the likelihood of the offspring being better in CK is higher instead of going by the breeding of the best in the game? (of course subjected to random liuck as well)

Yes you're right, again there are quite a few very experienced league trainers who have written extensively for breeding for the league so read through the online league page. There's a lot there, but you'll need it if you want to do really well in the league this year.

in saying that it will be most wide open lge ever

alot of the big guns not involved this time

you still need to put alot of time in and it can spoil the fun of the game

if i go in this time will aim just at handicaps. but that could change

Will surely go through the league section. Now spending lots of time trialling my horses at various distances and conditions. Never expected to spend so much time going through this. Its going to be a long long process. :?
