For those who played SO4 - stamina bar query
I'm getting some very strange average best distances from my breeding at the moment. For those who played SO4 extensively, what would you think the best distance for the horse would be in CK based on the stamina bars? This is the 3rd horse I've from the same dam/stallion and I've got 3 different stamina bars and 3 different average best distances. I'll let you know what CK times they run later (just so as not to influence people's answers).

I don't know about in the CK, I don't use it but I found after a number of seasons that predicted distances were less and less accurate. Run it at the distances you think it should run at, ignore average best.

Okie Cat, in that case which races would you target in game for that horse based on the stamina/speed bars?

Re: For those who played SO4 - stamina bar query
I would target races from 1m-1m2f and see how it got on. If it has more stamina in its pedigree I might even try it at 1m4f though I doubt it would stay.
I think he will get 1m2f, but I personally would be worried that he may be the dreaded 1m1f horse! I reckon he'd win over a mile at places like Ascot, Newmaret, Newbury; somewhere with an uphill finish, or somewhere where he can get a clear run and challenge early.

Re: For those who played SO4 - stamina bar query
I agree with Supercat, with that speed bar he looks like a 9f horse. It will mainly depend on whether he is a hold up horse or a handy horse. If he likes settling out the back then maybe consider 10f or 8f over stiff tracks. If he is handy, then 8f anywhere should be fine I would have thought.
