Those are great stats for jumps. The high quick jumping bar really helps in races. I have seen horses gain 2-3 lengths with a quick jump. His safe jumping is really good. I have not had many higher than that and it will get better as he ages as he is still 7. He is highly unlikely to fall with those stats. The going adaptability being full is brilliant. There will be no more worries about the weather for you. All in all looks like a great horse and he should continue to do well. Bit worrying that there is a still light bar bit in the potential bar as the bar tends to start declining at 8 but don't worry the horses still perform well. The potential bar is not a great indicator for jumps as it declines when the horses are at their peak in my opinion. He looks like an excellent prospect for stud.

By the way the breeding barn in NH is much improved in SO5 so you should be able to breed some decent progeny from him. There is no list of how many grade 1's a horse has won but you can go through it quickly by looking at a horses handicap ratingas well as making notes of the top horses on the end of the year list.

In my game is 14 March 2026 and after much planning through the season I have horses declared for every Cheltenham race :D The highlight of the season is about to begin. I have high hopes and hope to improve my cheltenham haul this season :D

Cheers for that Leon :D I have posted up on the bugs page that we should be able to see in the breeding barn the grade 1 stats
for the jump horses like we see the group 1 stats for the flat horses hopefully Mark will incorporate this into the next patch.
I will keep you posted about Balloon King, I have other jumpers with fantastic stats as well so might have a good breeding season ahead of me :)

A mediocre group placed flat horse becomes a national hunt superstar. Two world hurdles so far. Hopefully a 3rd will follow.

Well done Leonvir - the transition from flat to jumps isn't always obvious in my opinion.

Thanks. I normally go on breeding, a sire or a dam normally consistently produce good NH horses. Here is another by the same sire Elusive Thoughts. Province's performances are probably more impressive. He has won 2 gold cups so far, both easily, and also won both the Hennessey and the Welsh National carrying 12 stone on both occasions. Might try him out for a gold cup / grand national double but have doubts about him getting that far. I have uploaded the Hennessey race pic.

He is impressive! I reckon he could easily get the 4m4f distance, its just a case of getting round really

Will give it a try next season. His jumping is brilliant so he should get round but carrying 12 stone in the grand national will be really hard. I'm finding it really hard to win the national as it is. Have only managed 1 win in 19 seasons.

Post subject:  Re: Jump Horses

I've never managed it, played around 20 seasons on SO4 and had 2 entries a year for most of them n never managed to win it :( not that many made it round haha! Had one horse fall 5 years in a row in the Grand National, i thought that was impressive, the first year though he was the top weight.

the 12 stone is the issue really, but his stamina is good, you'd have to do it on good ground though, anything soft or heavy and u have no chance of it really.

Post subject:  Re: Jump Horses

Have seen a full jumping speed potential bar, but that jumps bar is the highest I have seen in SO5. Saw one close to that in SO4. The jumps bar does grow with age and have only kept a few national horses until 10 but ain't seen anything like that

It looks like you may have the start of good jumps breeding line. I find the NH game really helps improve my CK times
