Start of each season I have around 50-70 due to breeding, but that thins out to around 40 by June when i assess which horses are not worthy to be in my stable. Also I find it makes the season much more manageable with 40 horses. So I selected 21-40. |

I think I would lose my mind if I ended up breeding more than about 20! |

How do you decide which ones to sell, I got about 25 2yo's to sort out but don't want to get rid of wrong ones. Bill |

Bill At first i look at the ones where stats arent that impressive and sell a few and keep some for maidens and etc and if they don't impress then i sell them and keep the good ones. |

Potential bar confuses me, is the end of green as high as they can go when there is no foggy bit at the end? I got a 2yo from last season undefeated after 5 races from listed to Group 1 and as got a figure of 110 but potential bar as reached end of green with no fog after it. Hope the fog explains possible potential. Bill |

Theres light green and dark green once the light green has rached the dark green bit then it cant go any further as its reached its full potential. hope that explains it a wee bit. |

The maximum potential bar does still keep going up until the horse reaches around 5. |

Post subject: | Re: How Many Horses |
potential goes up every year so dont sell 1s with good potential cos they could have max potential by 5 |

Anything over 20 and I'd find it difficult to manage. |
