Hi, new to the forum. Breeding flat horses help needed.
Hi everyone.
I have been reading through the forum and see many people say the best way to get good jumpers is to breed them from the flat? My question is how do you do this, in a jumps schedule game you start with jumps horses, so where do you get the flat horses from to breed?
Thank you for your time Ant

Hi Ant welcome to the forums mate
i suggest you start a new flat game and buy some horses in thursday auctions
try and win some major races with what you buy then at the end of the season transfer them to the game pool
then once you have 6 decent flat horses say 3 male 3 female transfer them into a jumps game and start breeding or you can race them then retire them to stud
if you start on easy mode you get 5 horses 1 or 2 might be decent look at there stats and if they are good keep them if they are no good sell them 5 you get about 2million for them
also to get money early save the game go racing and see if a horse wins well by over 4 lengths and the 2nd horse is say 2 lengths ahead of third write the name of the 2 horses down press ctrl alt delete shurt so5 down go back in load the game and do reverse forcasts this give you some serious money to go shopping with
good luck and if you neeed any help let me no

Welcome to the forum Ant. Is Dec joining soon too?
You could also play the combined schedule and breed that way.

Transfer them from a flat game. Don't breed them in the jumps game, it takes too long and the horses you get to breed with aren't as good. Get a good horse in a flat game who can jump and transfer that to start your jumps game.

Another question guys, how far should the flat horses run over to be successful over jumps? Do sprinters stay the 2m?

you can really only go by the breeding indicator when you transfer them in its trial and error after that not an exact science
