just wondered how you all would rate starters orders.

with 5 being the best and 1 the worst?

Not quite the perfect game, would like to see a larger database, more countries, background foreign races being run and jockey mode, so it's a 4 for me.

I give it a 4 and a half, not quite a full 5 due to the issues with the combined schedule breaking down after a few seasons and the need for more horses both in the database and in play per season. Still an awesome game, and eating up hours and hours of my time, so addictive.

It's strange because when i've played the jumps( normal database) side of the game then u need more horses but my flat( I've edited) game has enough horses. It's strange. I think u cant have too many Group races.

It's only a 3 from me Very Disappointed with the game although improvements are great the combined Game which was the only one I played as been a great let down by this Constant Crashing after a few seasons and not enough Jumpers in the Database very sad could be of been Brilliant.

Yeah 3/5 from me defo needs a much bigger database and better trainer a1.

So, that begs the question, would people rate SO4 higher than SO5 then?

No, not from my experience of the so4 demo.

Well if you could take some of the improvements like doing your own mods, Race Graphics etc. I would go back to SO4 just for the Combined Schedule.

So I do rate SO4 better than SO5 at the moment but mark might fix the problem with the combined schedule in the near future.

It would be brilliant if he could fix the combined schedule, I agree. Let's hope he's working on it.

There is no 'constant crashing' with Starters Orders 5 or at least if there is no one has reported it. As has been said MANY times modifying data or downloading data mods is done at your own risk and if you do not reinstate the data right after patching IT WILL CAUSE CRASHES. If you do not feel comfortable with this do not mod or download data files! This is by far the most common cause of 'crashing' complaints.

Other than that the next most common cause of crashing is video card drivers (especially if you notice any visual glitches).

And if you still think you have a problem and have NOT modded your data then email in or at least post it in the correct (tech support) forum.

I havent experienced constant crashing myself.

But are you saying there isnt an issue with the combined schedule providing you dont use any user made mods Mark? - In which case there wont be a fix coz it aint broken?

I made a new combined schedule last night (with Used mods) did the skip to season 7 and it worked fine until I noticed most of the Novice hurdle races had hardly any runners lots of w/o and void races is there a problem with a number of runners over jumps the flat season seemed fine no w/o or void races at all can you have too many meetings in the combined or doesn't that make any difference.

Mark I have not played Combined for months so it might of been fixed in an earlier patch I played the game for a season but with the novice/Juvenile hurdles not having a enough runners I deleted it I cant see why any mods (made up usa/japan/French Jumps Races) would cause the problem with the novice hurdle field sizes.

I gave it a 3.

I have just not got in to it like other SO versions, to be fair thou not really had the most amount of time to do so, so that is more then likely why!
