Post subject:  Next Race Disappearing?
Newbie time. Has the potential to be a real engrossing game however there are quite a few faults with the latest patch.

Occasionally I will book a race for a horse then when I've advanced to the day before it can be fine. Then click for a once day advance and the race has disappeared from the list of races for the horse. Meaning to re-enter I must pay a late entrance fee.

I have a few questions which I will list in this thread as I remember but firstly, the training ground add-ons. Now some are explained and easily understood such as swimming pool for stamina etc.

1) However, some add-ons have no description of what they are for and yet I don't see the point of purchasing them because I do not know what they do. Any ideas?

2) Every time I set a reserve price it reverts back to zero at the auction.

Oh and I just got fined because one of my horses has improved it's form!!! What???

Breeding Facility
Needed to start breeding your own homebreds

Swimming Pool
Improves your horses stamina skills

All Weather Gallop
Improve horses AW skills good for USA Triple Crown Race Preps or major races like Winter Derby etc

Training Stalls
Improve horses starting skills

Field Space & Barn
Needed to put horses out to grass Eg. late 2yo that will not be ready to race that season can be put away for a year
Barn Facility means you can house them away from your race horses

Car Park
Car Park For staff

Car Park Exec
Car Park For Owners management assistant trainers etc

Extra feed
More feed storage saving money on fuel

Trainers Accommodation
ability for Trainer to live on site therefore cutting down on security costs

Staff Accommodation
ability for Staff to live on site therefore cutting down on security costs

Office
Office for you administrator to do your declarations and general finance on site

Gardener
Keeps the place nice and tidy

Quarantine
your horses can do Quarantine on site this means they don't have to travel abroad 2 weeks before race to do quarantine at racecourse
Cuts down on travel time

Gallop Rails
Improves horses Ability to race up against rail

Yes it does. Cheers mate.

I do have a few ideas for making the game a little more user friendly which I'll post in the relevant section later this week.

Another thing I've noticed is the calendar. (That is really bad). Sat 31 Dec then Sat 1st Jan??? LoL

Has anyone come up with a schedule that is realistic?
How difficult is it to produce a schedule yourself?

I have noticed that a lot of horses prefer a distance that isn't worth specialising in. eg 7f. Not noticed a single BIG 7f race so I run them all at a mile.

Also a lot of male/female names i.e lady, boy etc are on the wrong sex.

i designed my own schedule using Marks editor has loads of 7f races several g1 races over 7f

its called the PJR Worldwide Schedule SO5 V2 take a look at it here if you want>> viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6712

designing you own schedule outside of Marks editor can cause crashes and its not very straight forward at all so yes quite difficult and
no point if it keeps crashing your game

Been like this since so1 i think Kev has redone the horse database names take a look in game mod section

There are big group 1 races over 7f/1m1f/1m3f you just need to go into edit schedule Big Spanner on the main page and add races to your schedule Usa have a few 7F group 1 races.

What happens if you don't have the quarantine zone- does your horse disappear frm your stable 2 weeks before a rce? I thought it was for isolating ill horses

I don't think so. I never even realised there was one, I just bought all the ad-on's and was done with it. It probably is for quarantine too, but I doubt very much your horse will disappear without it. Though it would be a cool and slightly annoying addition in the future, so you had to plan your international exploits a little more carefully.
