Hi people, I'm new to this game. Bought it last week - and I am so very impressed with it! The in-depth reality of the game is fantastic. I've read many threads, listing what is the best thing to do when starting out, cheating is often mentioned. I've started out, with average horses, and sold them straight away. Got a fair bit for the un-raced 2yr olds. I picked up a unproven 3yr old, but didn't notice the stats screen. I keep my horses from racing too many races one after the other, one every three weeks normally, unless there is a prize I'm actually going for. Sometimes, the horse is "Ready" - green, then a couple of days before the race, goes Amber and sometimes Red. Is there a way of training the horse to be primed for the top races? I'm about 6 seasons into breeding, this being 2020 now. Sold most of my Yearlings, most over £1,000,000 - with my Group One winning horse the Sire. But I didn't check the overall potential, as I didn't notice the screen. LOL! How many seasons are there? Many thanks for your future answers, Chris |

Are you using simple training mode? that pretty much guarantees your horses are as fit as they can be for each race, providing of course they have recuperated sufficiently in between races. Recovery times do differ from horse to horse of course. |

Yes, the basic training program. What I am doing at the moment, is trying to get all of my horses "Ready" aka Green. And if they go to Amber, then up their training to the Red setting. And 5 days before the race put them on the Red setting until after the race. |

Then you aren't doing the simple training mode. But you would need to start a new game for this to take effect. I don't use manual training myself, so I'll leave it to others to advise you on that, but good luck with your game and welcome to the community. ![]() Is this thread any help to you?... viewtopic.php?f=19&t=7447 |

Akhc do you ordinarily use manual training or do you mainly use the simple training? |

Simple. For the league, manual takes too long and brings no benefit. |
