...Because I'm a case and not much else is going on here. I found this homebred an interesting individual. Interesting in that his parents are both long distance deep late closers with no early speed whatsoever. He however in his first four starts - all in sprints - is showing a lot of speed. I expect this one to be good if he can learn to rally. For now I'm letting the jockey decide on tactics

Into The Future

I think he might be another version of his dam sire - Dowhatjen. Dowhatjen is the foundation sire I settled on after I rebooted my breeding when the league season ended. His dam Step Aside has dropped a Kentucky Oaks/Preakness/B.C. Ladies Classic winner for a first foal and a Triple Crown winner with her second. Into The Future is her third foal. Sire Mindy is a gamebred that was available in the breeding shed.

His breeding line with a description of each horses preferred running style.

Yeah have had this happen on more than one occasion, the offspring can often not take the traits of the pairing they come from but often of the DDS instead.

Interesting. Shows the breeding mechanism to be even more in depth and 'realistic' so to speak than it seemed before.
