Yesterday I found my stallion to breed with and here is where my question comes in.

The thing I do at the moment is whenever I get a good homebred 2yo, I retire him to game pool and start a new season and get the horse into that game. Once he/she is in I save the game and make a back-up file out of it (1.sav, ext1.sav, ln1.idx, ns1.dat and o1.idx). So if im right I have to repeat "retire to game pool" whenever I want him on another save?

Am I doing this progress correctly at the moment?

if you just want to save horses in game pool just save a copy of the ttf file its in the saves folder
transfer the horse in then paste back the copy of ttf you have hey presto the horse is back in game pool
i back up 2 copies of ttf file in case of mistakes

thank you, I was already wondering about the ttf files. Read somewhere on the forum about it couldn't find it back. This helps me out alot!

cheers!
