Hi, have only just started playing the game and am already very addicted, especially the breeding aspect. Having a blast playing. Thanks to guys like akhc, pj and duke for their willingness to share some of their ideas on here. Apologies for those who contribute that I havent mentioned.

I've been having a read through the forum with breeding and screenshots of best horses etc.

It's taking me a while to get some solid horses coming out, but looking at the screenshot of horses stats the speed, stamina, accel bars of some of my horses looks fairly comparable to some horses that have unbelievably good winning records at G1 level.

It's obvious that the breeding component is extremely complex, but when assessing the quality of a horse is max potential the key performance factor that is visible to us?

Some advice on other factors to consider when assessing a horses ability would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum mate theres alot of factors to be considered when looking at horses ability etc, of course looking at the stats also try trialing them in ck, you might want to ask someone about that as myself don't trial in ck etc, i tend to sell my horses if they don't win there first few races as a two year old.

Thanks for the welcome.

Obviously, have to let them run to see what they are like. But is it as clear cut that if you dont have a certain amount of potential bar ~90% that you wont be consistently competitive at G1 company?

Looking forward to thoughts of others

A very excited update following my 3yo Aus filly McVeigh picking up the Diamond Jubilee. 3 generation foal out of a gamebred superstar sire.

Was held up at the 300 mark, I had to take a phone call thinking my hopes were gone. Returned to the screen to see her in the frame. No world beating times by the forums standards, but was a soft track. Was hoping to upload a video of it, but that might be a bit over the top

Massive massive thrill!

She's one out of the box, but now have to get to work on breeding some stamina into my own stallions as many of my horses are very good early or over the shorter trips, but arent up to it as we get up the classic distances!
