Post subject: | Selling on Horses with Low Realised / High Potential bar |
I have noticed that when I sell on my horses that have a "low realised / high potential" rating stat bar, they perform and win in G1s immediately against the ones I keep. It is like as if when they are sold, their low realised stat bar has reached its full potential bar straight away. I know it is easy to let the odd star slip through the net, as I usually do hang onto the good ones. But some of that horses I let go, did terrible in the gallops against the ones I keep. Then when they are sold, they come out and win in group 1s against my better types. So I'm convinced when they are sold, they instantly reach their full potential. Anybody else agree with this? Ps I am talking about at least a 33% difference between their realized and potential stat bar, not just a small difference. |

think it prob gives horse a morale boost... also that trainer might know what races/courses are best for it etc. What I do now if my horse is in poor form but high potential, i'll put it in a race that it will 99.9% win (claimer)... buy it back an then race it properly again.... just to give it its confidence back... if still poor form afterwards then ill send to grass an try next season |
