 Having problems with jumps game
Just getting into the jumps side after mainly playing the flat and am struggling to find full potential horses at the jumps game have money and buy anything rated over 1mill in end of year auctions but most I can get is 3/4 full bars is it worth breeding these or should I just retire them and keep hoping the full bars come along soon!

Re: Having problems with jumps game
Most horses only reach full potential at 5 or 6 in the jumps game

Re: Having problems with jumps game
Yes it does. The green bar ( both full and potential ) will probably only be about 70% or 60 % at 2. It will keep increasing until 5 or 6.

Re: Having problems with jumps game
Just started into the jumps as well!
Thought giving all my 3yos a year in the bumpers was a good idea before going novice hurdling etc etc....
Means after novice hurdling-hurdling/chasing all my horses are almost on the decline!
Hope the jumps game can be improved, as i know for many it is as, if not more important than the flat!

Re: Having problems with jumps game
horses shouldn't be declining in jumps game. My horses are at their peak at 6. Full bars at 6 sometimes 5 and often 7. Horses will run well until 9 and then decline although for the distance races over 3m5 they only peak around 8,9 or 10.
Had many a gold cup winner, champion chase world hurdle winner at 8 or 9
I only a max starts of about 3 or 4 races in their 3/4 ( bumper ) and 4/5 novice seasons.
Given them too many starts may mean they develop too quickly
