Post How? Good horse?
Hello everyone, I will never claim to know much of anything about horse racing, but I like games like this, but I was hoping I could just pick this up and enjoy the game.

I am just wondering, how do you get a good horse? I mean I'll buy horses for 400 k or even a million, but I don't seem to ever get a handle on what I should do to keep a horse good. I will put in 2 or 3 year olds in C1 races and they will finish 2nd, the jockey will say good things, the next race I'll put him in a C2 race and he'll finish near the bottom and the jockey will tell me he was out classed. How can he be out classed in a loser class than what I had him in before.

Now I've had a few good group 2 wins and the jockey will say he's a machine, then then horse will do nothing the rest of the way.

I race as often as I can in a season, is this wrong? I don't need to have the whole game explained to me, but what exactly should I be looking at when I want to put my horses in their best chance to win?

Thank you.

Breeding is everything
You Need to start that ASAP

after about 4 or 5 years your horses start to dominate the game

at the start breed to game Mares/Stallions that have won several g1s
this will give you a start but after a while the gamebreds are not going to improve your breeding lines
dont be scared to inbreed i found some freaks doing this

Basically gamebreds are never going to consistently win g1s so get breeding
and produce your own monsters

have fun

Reading here and knowing the little I do know about horse games and even some in real life, I figured breeding would be the thing. Now as far as that, I won't produce "monsters" by just breeding any two horses right? Do they have to be good horses as far as their career or is it just about the blood line?
