I know nothing about racing horses in real life, so a lot of the terminology in this game goes right over my head. If the jocky says that the horse "needs a faster pace", should I try for a furlong longer, or shorter? Or is it referring to the ground type? "We just didn't have the pace to get into the race" and "considering we struggled for pace out there..." -- Same question. |

Quote: "We just didn't have the pace to get into the race" and "considering we struggled for pace out there..." -- Same question. Means trip is too short needs further distance so if was racing at 1 mile move up to 1 mile 1 or 1 mile 2 Quote: If the jocky says that the horse "needs a faster pace", should I try for a furlong longer, or shorter? Or is it referring to the ground type? The jockey is telling you there was no pace in the race your horse needs a strong pace to get the best out of him Maybe consider a pacemaker for him |

Exactly what PJ said. But with pace meaning the speed they ran during the race. Your partiular horse needs them to be going quicker throughout to be at his best, but it might be worth stepping him up in trip; can't hurt to try. |
