Post Quick Breeding question.
Is is ok/safe/recommended to breed a mare with her own sire??

But not realistic, I should imagine inbreeding is not allowed in real life breeding.

You ought to study some pedigrees. Not just horses, but anything that has been intensively bred by man. Inbreeding is known to be detremental to the organism now, but it was thought that all genes that made an animal good would aggregate in its offspring!

Inbreeding happens all the time in real life
