Well now the window has closed on league transfers and cheltenham has finished
i over the past day or so have really given owners mode a good go
something to keep me busy until SO6





Ok i am not setting the racing world on fire but am boxing above my weight
this is a whole new challenge i love the way you have to plot away to win a race with a weak horse
and at the start you only get poor horses

I Hit Lucky really as my main owner S Humphrey sent me every 3yo that he had and there were some half decent horses in the bunch
i will show you some soon so far my biggest win was the triumph hurdle trial

Americaine is a nice mare who gives everything she is the stable star on achievements so far
i think she will go for the mares hurdle or coral cup in March







Grand Flyer who was 2nd in the punchestown champion hurdle at 40/1
god knows where that performance came from very hopeful for the arkle with him







Midasman has been an up and down sort of horse but has plenty improvement in him
he is currently injured so not sure on plans for cheltenham maybe the golden miller novice chase







Could do looks visually the best horse i have but needs some work if i can get his potential up
he could be anything.







Have to say getting great enjoyment out of owners mode
if i get any really bad horses i just keep putting them out to grass
never had a backlash from an owner doing that
so far it has taken me a 106 runs to get just 8 wins but i have potential in my team to
improve that its a great little challenge am enjoying more than i thought i would
i guess now the lge breeding is done i have been able to give it a good chance and glad i have
i will keep you posted on how this lot get on as they get older 1 cheltenham winner would be great

P.S this is my 3rd season of owners mode
never had a crash
and only had 1 horse taken off me
so works fine in my opinion

PJ how have you done this? on jumps i never get given any new horses, have you been getting new horses each season?

no got them all in 1st season after 1st open day
had a few open days but no new horses

YES 1st ever Cheltenham Winner

Gave it fifteen minutes and horses still disappearing for no reason. Cant believe this has never been fixed

I must be doing something right, got 69 horses and 7 at grass in 1 season, 9th in trainers table and 8 group wins but no group 1's. I have about 10 different owners and lost a few horses, just wish they would remove the rubbish ones. My fees are £60 and 12%, maybe that helps.
I do prefer owner mode as it is more realistic but would be good if you could buy a few and sell to your owners.

What still really annoys me about Owners mode is that even with over 60 horses I am losing money like mad, Trainers should not pay all the expenses like entry fees etc.
I know you can make money by betting but not all trainers bet and it should not be necessary. Hope this will be sorted in SO6.

I going to play on my US game I made, it took me six Months to do and I never had the chance to play on it because I took the League challenge.
