How do you decide what to do in jumps game whether they stay hurdling or go chasing what stat bars on the jumps are the ones to look for |

Actually the bars are not rubbish, if the jumps bar is at zero as a young horse it pretty much means he/she will never make a top chaser but will take a hurdle, if the bar is lets say 1/5 full or more as a young horse then with training and experience both over hurdles and fences the bar will increase and it will be a much better chaser than hurdler as it is able to use that to its advantage over the bigger obstacles. If you study the way the horses jump fences in the game you will see that a chaser with a higher bar will jump the fences much quicker, put in fast jumps and make considerably less mistakes than one with a low bar. Some chasers just keep on improving their jumping as the seasons go by and others will reach a limit. I'll refer you to the great Hoof Prince to show you the bar in question and how it improves with training and experience. http://postimg.org/image/70tr0uanp/ - The jumps bar in the top left was a bit lower when he began his hurdling career as a 5yo. http://postimg.org/image/a6h7aj46r/ - Notice how much the bar has gone up from when he started jumping fences from 6yo to 7yo. http://postimg.org/image/nusp3hxw5/ - Jumping didn't improve from 7yo to 8yo and i thought his ability had plateaued at this point. http://postimg.org/image/vpkcsr5b7/ - But improved again from 8 to 9yo. http://postimg.org/image/4kqn62qr7/ - And again from 9 to 10yo. http://postimg.org/image/h7hqlc231/ - More jumping improvement from 10 to 11yo. |

great q. from mushy. ive always wondered and just guessed it.. probably ive misplace hurdlers / chasers but ive discovered some too when jump breeds were young id look at the deeper stats and if they had much learning ability of jumps id try them over both some do good at both hurdles and chases ive had some jump horses that only win in bumpers and one who only was good at nhfs ![]() pretty realistic for a simulator great pics by johnny very enlightening thanks all. |

Only just seen this but after six or seven the horses ability has fallen of a cliff and jumping will mean nothing. ![]() If u are right then this horse would be a hurdler. This is the best chaser I've ever had and was the best Chaser in the League last season and apart from falling won all but one of his races. He never fell in game only when he ran against the best League horses but his jumping was fantastic and fast. I tried to improve my the jumping bars for my chasers for this season's team but I wasted a lot of time( I mean a lot of time) on it and they didn't improve for having better bars. For my league breeding I always bred two hurdlers together or two Chasers together. |
