Ok i have now played 2 full seasons and feel i can give a proper opinion on the new game even though i might have missed some new bits i can only comment on what i have seen. GRAPHICS - Simply stunning a great addition but probaly the only major change from SO5 to SO6 AUCTIONS - Exactly the same as SO5 have not seen anything new (Have tracked the top 100 earning Horses for 2 season never got one email to say 1 was going to auction thousands of emails which have become annoying - end if season 2yo sales are exactly the same as so5 a little disappointed was hoping for more realistic sales structure yearling sales etc) ACHIEVEMENTS - good addition but too few you will probably reach these within 10 seasons i think more can be added in time DECS - apart from travel its the same (available races need to be more highlighted) BREEDING - Have not had any yearlings yet but the rest of it is exactly the same as SO5 think the Breeding side has needed a revamp for years a little disappointed. NEW MENU BAR - is great far easier to use than the icons in SO5 an improvement PRE RACE - environment Betting ETC (Pretty much the same as SO5 but dont think much could hav been done its pretty much perfect) IN RACE - Times seem to be super fast i had a 2yo run 2min2 secs for a 1m2f race thought i had an equine jesus but trailed in last in criterium st cloud - have not noticed any horses flying home from the back. AUDIO i think the muffled comms are ok crowd noise is not good very noisy in grandstand view SKIP BUTTON - Same as SO5 no skip to next auction - Skip to End Season SAVE BUTTON - seems quicker than the older versions games save quickly but takes you to the front page of SO6 would be handy to take you to the save slots page. SCHEDULE - No Breeders Cup Juveniles Breeders Cup Light on Races - There are a few big overseas Races missing from the default schedule i know we can change this in time. In Summary the graphics are amazing and are the major change the rest seems to be similar to SO5 Disappointed with the Breeding And Auctions Pleased With the Graphics & races dont take long to load which is very pleasing As with many games your sometimes left feeling more could have been done but i just cant imagine how much time the new graphics took so its hard to be critical about the lack of major changes in other areas for me a priority should be fixing the tracking having a filter to filter out decs and the horse is racing today emails. I think this is a great addition but if none of theses horses go to auction then its not worth tracking a horse or putting up with the barrage of emails that come with tracking alot of horses. Anyway still a big thumbs up from me it is worth Buying for the graphics upgrade alone What are your thoughts?? |

I said weeks ago that I didn't think much would change on the game front because games don't change that much in 1 go, this to me is SO1 3D, the rest of the game will change in the next few when Mark can spend more time on the game than the graphics. I think u cant judge the game for another month or two until everything is fixed. I love the graphics for the jumping. |

I've had an email from the Head Lad telling me a horse I was following was going to auction - unfortunately I was skipping to the day before my horse's next race so missed the auction itself but I checked the horse and it did change trainers. |

Thats good to know it works i guess if you get an email after skip you can ctrl alt delete and then go and buy the horse in that case i will continue to track after all we are all starting from scratch and in need of a start in breeding empire cheers for letting me know |

I Agree i am not being critical far from it just giving my thoughts but i agree in next few versions we can expect some big changes the Graphics will be good for a while maybe next 2 or 3 versions maybe more so more time to look at other improvements Some have said they are going back to SO5 i couldent played it to death and starting again is a new challenge the ttf file is there i just exported my first horse and they are reusable too One massive plus for me is no export button so everyone can go back to playing for fun instead of rushing to find lge superstars i really like that |

the email was from my secretary to be precise. I've noticed in a lot of races I don't watch there are 2, 3 or even 4 horses that run exactly the same times, even in races over a mile. Anyone else noticed that? |

I'm responsible for the default UK flat showcases and schedule. The Breeders' Cup was kept small because of the problems with naming the US races and tracks, but the other Breeders' Cup races are all available in the showcases file. The French and Irish races in the UK schedule were reduced, as Mark said he hadn't finished all of the French and Irish courses in time for the beta release. Generally though, the number of overseas races in the default schedule was kept low, as the default schedule is designed only to be a base, from which people can customise their schedule to their own preferences. This will obviously be a lot easier when the schedule editor is made available, as not everybody wants to play around with the files directly! |

The 2000 and 1000 Guineas are run on the July course, and not the Rowley Mile. |

The no export button is great, lets hope it stays that way. I think the games got lots of potential and i'll have fun with it. |

The showcase and schedule files seem to be correct, but the game seems to always default to displaying it as the July Course, for some reason. I'm sure it'll be fixed in a patch. |
