I appreciate it's probably been asked a million times, but searching the forums returns too many vague results. I've never played jockey mode before, looking at the instructions online they seem to be for SO4. A lot of the controls seem to have no relevance to what is on the screen e.g. stride indicators when approaching fences etc. They also state that the horse should go over jumps with no input but mine seem to just fall over at every fence if I do nothing. So if anyone could either give me a brief idiot-proof guide to jockey mode, or link to a thread where it's been done before, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance... |

Well I'm similar I'm not exactly sure, but I guess pretty much that in the bottom left corner there are two indicators the arrows are where roughly your horse wants to be positioned early to gain more potential to win. The second indictator is the speed control the green within this on the left is how fast your going by pressing UP to improve your speed this however causes your potential to start to drop. If a race is 2 miles I tend to start moving up through the race slowly from 9-10F from home this is displayed in the top right corner. Once I get to two furlongs then i press up more rapidly which increases your speed and starts to whip your horse. In jump a races to start with i couldn't get jumping regularly using the indicators, that flash up too quickly in my opinion. I just try jump where I think the horse would jump from in real life. If your held up watching horses in front helps to work out the ideal jumping spot. Using Ctrl or Action button to jump. More info on jockey controls below viewtopic.php?f=13&t=9372 |

That's perfect, plenty for me to get reading there and in the link. You're a gentleman, thank you. |

I'm enjoying this. I've won a couple of NH Flat races and made it round in one piece over hurdles. How do I know where the runners behind me are, and how they're traveling? Is there a 'look-back' key? |
