I've just noticed it says the limit is 35? Is that the case as I don't want to risk retiring more horses in case I lose them?

it will say maximum 35 if you have 35 in there if you had 50 it would say maximum 50
so you can have as many as you want

the new patch which will require restarting the game, ive not played it much since i heard about the restart, its BETA after all can't complain.

i dont think so i think its a clean restart thats why i have not played in nearly a week

Breeding is the main interest in the game for me. I would love to see an increase in the gamebreds G1 winners that make it to breeding. It would also be very cool if the in game breeding system could allow the computer bred horses to have in game lineages and also breed off the human owned stallions. The database would be too big I guess.

In the breeding barn:
I try to have two breeding stallions active at once. 5-6f and 1-1.2f. I try to stick to 10 mares and retire all my horses at 10 years out of the game. that way I can cross breed.

Whenever the game throws up a computer generated/owned freak i will breed all my mares to it alone for that season, but it has to be a standout.

This maintains a fresh cycle and my lines do not tend to go stale. I will only breed my stallions with a computer mare that cost over $1 mil.

The limit is actually 100.

So when you get to 80 or 90 you have to be more selective.
