Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place. I just bought So6 and have run into the same problem that almost all games seem to have that I try to play. I am SSI and play on a 1920x1080p tv a few feet away but the fonts and buttons don't scale so they are really hard to see in a heavy text based game. I will try to explain. What I mean is that when you go to a smaller resolution everything is nice and big but I see no point in losing out on better resolution for the races when I just need buttons and text bigger. When you up the resolution (to me applying logic) everything on screen should stay the same sizes but the pixel count increases for better graphics. Sadly with games this is not the case and when you up the resolution everything gets smaller as it doesn't scale. I am very limited because of my sight so wouldn't expect things to be fixed just for me, but is there an easy simple way of upping the scale of everything by say 50%-100% like I can do with Windows and my web browser? |

I Totally agree with you. I too play on that resolution and the entire presentation of the game changes and fonts become too small to see. I hope mark can actually do something on this to help us. Please scale the game for the highest resolution, cheers! |

In an ideal world those that have problems with the font size should be able to have a lower resolution when using the interface, but come race day the resolution would change to a higher one so you can fully enjoy the race graphics. |

That would work too, I haven't really seen any games that do that though. I probably could have worded the original post better but I find it odd as well as very frustrating that games don't seem to scale with resoltions properly. A better way of trying to explain what I meant in the original post would have been to compare games to tv programs. If I watch something on tv at say 720p and then change to 1080p the head sizes and everything stay the same ratios on the screen. With games though objects and text never seem to scale and get much smaller. I was hoping that there was a quick and simple way of changing the game font sizes. While trying to play Football Manager and thats small fonts I found out about its xml file and just changed a couple of values for fonts. I had a quick look into SO6 and couldnt see an xml file or stylesheet, maybe that's just my sight probels though or my limited knowledge as it might be called something different. Maybe I should have posted this in the mods forum instead but figured that's more for tracks and shedules. |
