I am having a real problem with average horses winning a race and being hiked up. The latest example entered the game unraced rated 77 - finished 4th in a class 4 (struggled in the class according to jockey), dropped 13lb to a mark of 64. Finished 2nd in claimer getting 14lb to a horse rated 65 - finished 2nd a a class 7 Handicap and was raised to 66.

Then it won a Class 6 Handicap off 66 by 2 length, and is now rated 91 - I don't really follow the real racing world on handicaps marks but really ? 25lb for a class 6 handicap when it beats a horse rated 23lb inferior 2lb ? -

So now all I can enter is Class 2, Conditions and Sellers.

This is not isolated almost all horses have screwed marks.

What patch are you using? This was fixed in a recent patch.

No idea mate, Only bought game saturday - v.905(kj) it says ? - Will go on site and see if I am missing.

I think this was fixed in 906, so you should update to the latest patch 907 (which will also include the fixes from 906).

Dumb ass question as I am a dumb ass, where are the patches - I just went on the Strategic Designs site and it says visit the forum...

When you open up the game, you will see a globe icon in the bottom left of the main menu screen if there are patches outstanding. If this is the case, just click on the globe and it should do the rest.

Cheers matey. Now you are gonna tell me the same applied in SO5 and I have spent the last year playing an "out of date" version. I just assumed you downloaded from the site. Played all versions since the start and never ever considered the the "game" knew it was out of date.. Thanks again...

Regarding the handicapping marks being all over the place do you need to start a new game for these to take account from patch update. Just wondered cos I'm still getting some weird marks (went up 6lbs finishing 5/12 recently!)
