Post Breeding two milers in SO6
This is in the jumps game.

Has anyone had any luck? I have recently had to restart, but the few I did breed managed to win the good 2 mile races, but as soon as they turned 5 or 6 they wanted 2m4f and would then breed 2m4f horses in the breeding barn. I even imported a 6f sprinter who ended up producing a 3 miler in the end!

Oh man i have just come across this too i just started a week ago on 2 milers and when they get to 4 or 5 they need further
i am still getting a fair few producing 2 milers but have 1m2f (Flat) stats they should have sprint/miler stats Going on my experience

But did Simon Says Jump stay like that throughout his career, or did he get a bit older and then need further? Also are you able to use him for breeding and produce 2 milers? Or would you have to use Queen Alexandra to breed a 2 milers and hope she (I assume she...) would produce something with Simon Says Jump's stamina??

That's what I struggle with. I get something that can with the Champion Hurdle or Champion Chase for a couple of seasons, then they're too slow and they need 2m4f! Then when they get into the breeding barn their stamina shoots up and they only seem to be able to produce 2m4f horses or stayers.

I completely agree with what is being said in this thread. I have a horse that won the champion hurdle at 5 and 6, and thought this fella is gonna win it about 5 times, but now it needs further and is now stuck in the middle, 2m being too short and 3m being too long.

I'd be interested to see their stats PJ when you decide which ones you'll breed with.

I know realistically 2 milers don't have such long careers hence why horses like Istabraq and Hurricane Run are such enigmas, but it would be nice to have something which could be better for a bit longer.

I've never taken one bit of notice of the stamina bar, I think it's all over the place in the jumps game just like SO 5. I race my 2 milers until their 6 and they never need 2m4. I will run my best( until I trial my new ones) hurdler tonight Golden Alpa and tell u how It got on.
I only bred horses until their are 7 and my 2milers only ever bred two milers.

On this note, has anyone noticed that it is much harder to predict a horses distance based on its preference on the flat.
I transferred 2 X 1mile6 horses of very similar ability (had finished second and third in the Derby) over to my jumps game. One of them won the Arkle and the other won the national hunt chase and finished fourth in the National.
I also imported 2 multiple group 1 winning milers (both mares) to breed some speed. One of them fails to stay 2 miles and only won a handicap off a rating in the 30's. The other has won both her novice chases easily over 3mile7 and is heading to Aintree!
There have been other noticeable but less dramatic variations.

This is one of the horses in question.
How does its flat achievements or its stamina bar equate to it being a 4 miler?
