 Re: Weekly Reaction
Sirus, I always export mine towards the end of the season, with the 2 and 3YO's after they have had at least 5 races in that particular year. Not sure I know if it makes any real difference, but I presume the export then benefits from the growth of that horse during the year. Cannot speak to what others do.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Another 3 winners today
Clever Girl It was a tough descision to drop my 2 miler drasticly in distance and after the start when she did not lead I thought our chance had gone right there but she just kept finding more and more a beautifully timed ride by the jockey to win the Hardwicke Stakes G2 actually chuffed as it was a real surprise
2 National hunt newcomers won on debut
The mighty Mack The Knife got his career off to a flyer he actually jumped awfully so many slow jumps but once the race heated up he came alive and even though he did not show it I think there is a ton of improvement in him it was a scrappy round of jumping alot more to come from the Fortria Chase G2 Winner.
Phillipa Vayle got her career off to a nice start winning the bumper she was made to fight for it but got the job done well and really kicked on late to win by half a length
Congratulations to the winners and places great comms as usual (Volume on Mikes was very very low) dont know if its an issue my end many thanks to the team

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Week 6 - Wednesday
Flat
Storm Rising - 5th close finish here, barely a head or two between them, may have done better if he had gotten out of the gate at the start.
Clash on Rock - 3rd pleasing start on her debute, she stayed on well.
Arch Rival - 4th G2 decent run but well off the pace of the winner for one of my better flat horses.
The Prisoner - 11th ran out of puff at the end. Should really be running 2f less
Sweet Temptation - 18th poor run, went backwards at a rate of knots, not the debute I may have hoped for, probabaly too far
Jump
Exit Potentially - 10th Long way off the pace today, weight likely did not aid, but others carried more, poor showing
William Coconut - 1st stayed in touch well throughout but it was her jumping that secured this win, great trip all round, pleased she decided not to fade away again.
Barking - 5th Was so far off the pace for most of the race I thought she may pull up, but hardly a shock when she rallied at the close she had left far too much to do, shows some promise mind if positioned better
Disposing Quiz - 5th Ran on well enough, but still far too highly rated for his talent
Translucent - 10th left for dead with the pace of this field, needs a lower level handicap
Around DBX - 7th she is just not a very good horse
Casual Mist - 5th ran all over the place today, did not look very settled, and I think the trip was also just a little on the long side for her.

Josh I export my 2yo and 3yo around October Ascot Champions day my 5yo are given a run early mostly in the Dubai Meeting and April gets a break exported before ascot and sent to the field these will be trialed with the jumpers my 4yo will be exported in September that's how I do my exports by giving my 5yo early and unlikely to improve means its easier to manage a big stable my jumpers all exported just before Cheltenham. Re: Weekly Reaction
A mixed week for me, no winners at Royal Ascot, although quite how I haven't picked up at lest 2 or 3 of those big H'capps is beyond me Arizona Sister - Looks pretty average tbh, not sure it'll pick up a race, although threatened momentarily in the Chesham, its definitely a 6f horse. If a handicap pops up it may pick it up California God - Probably needs to go out to the field now, doesnt look suited to any distance Indianna Rythmn - 3rd in the Wokingham, looked to be on for the treble, weaving through but being obstructed a couple of times, it came from dead last to miss out by a head. I might try stepping this up to Group races now, it's earned its shot, very unlucky not to win that, fancy it was the best horse in the race Iowan Zabara - I've probably been aiming this too high, not disgraced in any of the classics or St james, off 100 I think I may sneak a decent race with it, see if theres a 0-110 mile race. Iowan Bothwell - Could just copy an paste from above. very simialr profile to Iowan Zabara, there or thereabouts in classics over 1m, might be able to get it low enough to pick up a decent H'capp still Iowan Isinglass - 2nd in the Chesham, couldn't quite get to the winner, but ran better than I exprected, definitely has a race in it over 7 Iowan Petrarch - 5th in the Lincoln suggests it has ability, an the 7f not suiting it in the Buckingham Palace at ascot, has a mile race in it I think Iowan Pilgrimage - What can I say, laid out perfectly for the Brittania Stakes, fancied it beforehand, it duly obliges only to have it stolen from it by the Stewards. Tempted to pull the horse from the league in protest. I'm claiming it as a winner Iowan Stockwell - I have the right mark for this now, it picks up a 1m H'capp very soon I think, the 1m1 this week slightly too far Nebraskan Lear Spear - Performance of the week in my Stable, 2nd in the Prince of wales, looked the winner till the final few strides, my 1m2 horses all look to prefer 1m1 which I may need to look at, this has a chance in any of the big 1m1 races though Nebraskan Pepper N salt - Surprised me last week picking up the 1m H'capp. That convinced me to enter the Royal Hunt Cup this week, however as suspected the 8f slightly too short, this will win good races over 1m1 if there are any Nebraskan Rakti - I was expecting this to be the star of my stable, an hasnt been a million miles away in group 1s, but suspect 1m2 just stretches it, an its just below that level, tough to judge the form of this maiden, but a very good performance to win, could pick up more I think

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Wow is all I can say, the best week in Ghostzapper Stables history.
Lime Garden 3rd, didn't think she would stay 2m so will have to try to win a race with her. Gets to far back.
Snow Princess 1st, nice start and the aim is the Cadran on Arc day.
Glacial Storm 1st, my 1m4 horses are struggling to win and last week I noticed in this horses pedigree it had last seasons Kentucky Derby winner Monashee and that's why I put him in this race and not run him at his best course Ascot. It's good when it pays of.
My Jumpers had a good week with a few winners.
Uncle Ernie 1st, I'm glad he won, has run well all season and is clearly my best 2miler.
Asian Maze 1st, Just loves soft ground and is a really good horse when she gets it. Hopefully but not likely she will get soft ground at the festival. Hoping she gets some more soft ground to run on, not the same horse on good ground.
Killeshin 4th, his first run of the season but has been in my team since the start. Some thing like the Midlands National on soft ground will be the aim.
Bramhill Rose 1st, my first group 1 win at this distance in 2 years. By far my best over this distance but doesn't look good enough to win or even get close to winning the Gold Cup.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
An average week boosted by the Grade 1 win of Royton in the Henry VIII Novices chase. gets 2m 2f ideally so that sandown hill was perfect for her, and could have a big chance in the Arkle, hoping to win that for the 2nd year in a row.
Escrow Agent ran well in the 4m maiden, she is a gamebred with 90% jumping ability, expecting big things from her. Heard Island dead heated over 9f, will run well over a mile if he gets an easy lead. Khushaat the best flat horse i have bred so far, ran a blinder coming 4th over 6f from too far back, her ideal trip is 1m and likes to run handy.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Just finishing off the handicapping. What happened in Race 27 The Chesham? Some sort of wicked speed duel set it up for the 1st-timer winner. Or does Ascot favor come from behind horses?
We need more Quarter-Horse racing. I think that's what MJ is trying to breed?
Seriously if Mark would tinker with the distances so we can make Quarter Horse races I would love it. I still remember a horse I had from a long lost version of SO who would always break a length on top of everyone. He would've been a Group 1 winner for sure as a Quarter Horse .

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Well I rarely write anything about my week, as normally the pain of watching my “glue factory” horses is sufficient, let alone writing about them… BUT…. My recent new uploads have given me faith, especially over the jumps (I owe this to PJ’s trialling method, so thanks for that mate) and finally believe a horse or two might get mentioned in the review show, which would be nice. I’ll start with the NH with what I think will be winners at some point… (yes, a bit cocky, looking at my form lol) Top Frot (2nd) Ran over 2.6 & was close to getting up for my first win coming from the rear, but he needs the 3m & heads to a G1 novice next week, might be a tall order but we will see. The Name is Frank (3rd) Started out in a G2 chase, so promising although ran out of steam, but will try again in the Desert Orchid chase next week, albeit another G2 Libranno Li (5th) my probable National Runner (if can get the 3 runs in) stays all day, didn’t disgrace its self, so hopeful of a 4 + win somewhere. Masked Karla (5th) Gr2 chase & no disgrace in finishing 5th on testing ground. Not sure where to go with this one, might drop down to handicap class to try and steal a win. (note: finally a “Masked” horse and there has been many, might actually have bred something competitive) The Flat, I really can’t say much, but the fresh uploads where a marked improvement on anything I had in the Stable before, but mentions for The Happy Zombie, Dirty Prawn, Pitch one, Brenna who all did ok in mostly maidens and as long as the handicapper from hell (only joking) doesn’t get to mean and shows some Christmas spirit we could be in for a win from one of these at some point….. Finally to wish you all a very Happy Christmas & a prosperous New Year from sunny Spain & thanks again to all who are involved in running the league. Stu

 Re: Weekly Reaction
4 winners on day one
3 on the flat The week got off to a Flyer as In La La Land made all with a beautifully judged ride by her jockey to win the G1 Falmouth Stakes on only her second start
Teresa May won her second Group 2 of the season winning the Fred Crowley MBE Summer Mile Stakes shes just not a g1 horse but plenty of mile races to aim at
Naked Truth just just got up on debut was flying at the end and just made it nice start to her career hopefuly she can bag a group win but Johns 2YO look monsters
1 national hunt winner Philipa Vayle made it 2 from 2 in bumpers and won really well left me with the feeling she won with something in hand she is very smart and a huge player in the champion bumper
Congratulations to the winners and placers brilliant comms as always thanks so much to the team Happy New year

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Week 7 - Monday
Flat
Love Nor Money - 11th always set to struggle here.
Baba Hari - 14th outpaced after some early promise, have seen her into retirement now know she is not all that good.
Arch Rival - 5th solid run, thought she maybe in with a shout here, but could not quicken.
Solent Green - 11th outclassed here.
The Prisoner - 1st cracking run, last 2f was a nice watch as he picked he way through the field to just sneak up.
Hugh Jengine - 10th little disappointed, expected a better showing today.
Need for Speed - 5th stayed on well but never a serious danger.
Jump
Barking - unseated rider, looked a little patchy before shedding his jockey 3 out.
Dominion of Saints - 4th good run, stayed on nicely but simply could not close on the top three.
Coconut Shy - 5th got caught out by early pace and ran in snatches, missed her challenge window and she can't run this class down, stayed well enough but has to break first.
Trashman - 3rd stayed on well for a promising run, but there are a stack of top 4yo's this year not sure where he goes next
The Stunner - 5th restrained and left all to do, timed run well but bad last jump killed any real chance here.
The Ghost - pulled up after sustaining an injury
Casual Mist - 9th hard ask in this grade, duly struggled and was a little snatchy
Grey Estate - 4th ran soundly but quite disconnected from the top three.
Day goes 2-1 to Jim I think in the dc cup.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
A interesting day for my team.
Dushaytor 1st, his first win and well deserved. Low Key Affair 0, bounced like a rubber ball. Possibly the worst run ever by one of my horses. Coigach 1st, love her to bits. Need's longer but not sure what she will go for after this.
Youlnaverwalkalone 2nd, more like he'll never win again. Crazy Horse 2nd, another solid run. Rogers Princess 1st, what a star she is, and is super tough.
