Big Sur wins the Marathon qualifier. Brilliant to get a gamebred win on the flat.

1-1 with Mr.Cairns going into next week

Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Week 7 - Wednesday

Flat

Fine Puzzle - 8th never really got into contention

Disposed Ingleby - 12th another who never really got going, though generally expectations are not high

Breaking Glass - 8th thought he may do a little better, but largely beaten for pace

Storm Rising - 3rd solid run behind the two favourites, closed nicely

Prohibition Almighty - 11th too far really, needs to slip further down the handicaps before we shall see him more competative

Crystaline - 5th not a bad showing, ran on well without ever really offering cause for concern

Sweet Temptation - 2nd came on strongly at the close, half a furlong longer and I think he may have gotten home

Podgies Boy - 1st Gamebred winner, who would have thunk it :) he stays forever, slow pace likely helped

Jump

The Estate - 8th back to 3m methinks

Translucent - 6th stayed on well enough but never really a danger

Kiss my Tail - 4th wish she did not leave everything to the last second, she's like the misus. stayed on well when she decided to move.

Eye of the Storm - 11th poor run, will struggle to find suitable going for her

Rabbling Rebel - 3rd stayed on well today, decent run and was closing still at the death

The Metalist - 4th decent run, but still somewhat detached from the top three

Exit Potentially - 1st was pretty confident coming into this, he was really well weighted, but still did it right on the day

Cap Gemini - 6th fell away at the finish, beaten for pace

Around DBX - 5th nearly fell off my chair when she took it on at the 4f mark, did nothing wrong just beaten by better.

Battleship - 10th Another who needs to go back up to 3m

Affairs of State - Pulled up Injured

The Tortoise - 3rd not a bad debute over fences

Xternal - Pulled up injured

Good week all in with 4 wins, two off the flat too for an added bonus.

Josh

So Please answer my first question ! What was a sarky with that first message, if u cant answer it then Please Shut up.

The King George is the best race I've run all season, I was watching it coming into the home straight watching Grays horse first lead then Leon horse took over and dave's and Paul's and then all of a sudden the horse behinds take's them and I didn't know who's horse it was until I saw the results. Great Win and I think u won a few other races I ran, great week for u.

This is what I wrote so come on Smart A*** break it down like Aristotle would have.

All my other runners have come in the bottom 5 :o Only been playing it for a month before the season started so hopefully by the next one (if we have one) I'll be a bit more competitive in the handicaps!

Post Re: Weekly Reaction
Congrats Adam. Best of luck in the future.

Me? I stunk up the track this week with a few minor exceptions. My horses are better than this. I miss the old days when we had single horse ttf files. I could keep groups of horses to trial much easier than the poor "groups" setup now in the CK. I would trial my league horses quickly at the conditions of the races available for the week and I would always find horses who raced much better at certain tracks/conditions. This gave me an edge a little bit. This season, if I'm feeling up to it I'll trial my horses for the weeks races but that requires picking all the horses for a race one by one. That gets old.

My long ago plea for the CK - Setup your race in the CK and then add the horses. Then you can save this Race/Field giving it a name like "3yo - 6 furlongs". From the dropdown list. You can then choose that race/field again any time you want. You want to swap out horses in that race? Do it and then save the Race/Field again. Simple! This is all contingent on a horse being allowed to be saved to any race you make. The big problem with the Groups feature in the CK is that you can't add a horse to multiple groups. That = useless to me.
