 Re: Weekly Reaction
3 Winners today
1 on the flat as Stella Artois gets off the mark to win the Vintage Stakes Group 2 won well with a nicely timed ride hopefully a G1 contender over 7 furlongs and more likely over a mile
2 over the sticks
Mack The Knife made it 3 from 3 HOW DID HE WIN watched the replay 5 times and will never know how he got up but he is all heart and has some engine and when he hits top gear its tough to go with him no doubts the best jumps horse i have bred if he can sort his jumping out he will be a tough nut to crack in the Queen Mum its job done though now a G1 winner winning the Victor Chandler G1 PHEW I actually shouted out very loudly when he got to the line he is now my favorite horse of all time.
Illustrious won the Warfield Mares Hurdle wow she is such a consistent horse always runs her race may not be G1 quality but form is impressive 1,3,1,2,3,3,1 its her 2nd listed win of the season the plan is still the World Hurdle but think she is just a level below that.
congratulations to the winners and placers and well done Mike the first Commentator to get off the mark great comms as always & thanks to the team

 Re: Weekly Reaction
pleased to see Pocket Money get the win in the 2m 5f Handicap chase.
Struggled last year off 130s/140s, loves being in the lead and when he pings them out in front he can really put the horses behind him under pressure. May have to consider the Ryanair for Cheltenham.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
A very good Tuesday, 3 winners today one over jumps and 2 in the flat, although one was a dead heat.
Flat
Flagburn Girl ran a storming race in the Titanic Belfast Nursery and Timeless Lass dead heated with Mikes horse in the Betfred International Stakes. One thing I did notice was that TOM treated Timeless Lass as a 2nd place horse and was awarded a 2nd place in the trainers log and was given 2nd place prize money, the first and 2nd prizemoney was not added together and divided by 2.
Timeless Lass was uploaded to be a miler, but her 2 wins have come over 7f. She was one of last seasons horses that didn't make the grade last season, but she was much better than anything I bred for this season, so she got her chance and has done well.
Jumps
Pinnacle Boy won his 2nd race of the season in the Rossington G2 Novices Hurdle. Thought he was beat when the favourite passed him with 2 furlongs to go, but he fought back gallantly and found something extra in the last furlong to win quite comfortably.
After thinking I was going to be well beat in the DC championship, my battle with Josh is now a close thing. I think that is 6 - 6, with everything resting on Wednesdays races.

Yep i drew a blank today so we're 6-6 with all to play for tomorrow. I do figure the dead heat likely gives me an away goal Not all that confident on my final days entries. Josh

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Week 8 - Tuesday
Flat
Arch Rival - 7th in the mix but faded over the last 1f at or outpaced
Sweet Temptation- 13th never in it today
Love Nor Money - 8th stayed ok, but she is just no good
Solent Green - 20th injured
Podgies Boy - 8th far too much talent on show today for him
Jump
Exit Potentially - 5th took on at 3f faded at 1f likely went too soon
Leaving Las Vegas - 8th another who times his challenge badly faded from 1.5f from home
Emergence - 4th back to being almost good enough
Xternal - 3rd made good late progress but had left all to do
Casual Mist - 8th never really got into a position to challenge today
Dominion of Saints - 13th bout given up with him now, handicaps it is
Affairs of state - 6th decent G1 outing but outclasssd by others
Barking - 19th very poor effort today never in it.
The Stunner - 3rd stayed on well but another who was not quite good enough today
Kiss my Tail - 4th still leaves herself too much to do, late progress shows some promise but likely needs a lower class of opposition

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Finally catching up on the races and very happily surprised to see my first winner (or at least half a winner) of the season with Go Man Go. Came out of the clouds to somehow get a piece of the dead-heat. The major weight drop helped him out. Probably sticking at the distance going forward.
Very exciting season so far and absolutely love calling the races! Every week has so much excitement! Keep up the good training!!

 Re: Weekly Reaction
5 winners today
Flat Noble Endevour Breaks his maiden tag in Listed company winning The Brighton Stakes just held on hopefully onto group company next
Entrance to Heaven Not in a million years did i think he had a chance in this he was a maiden coming in to this had solid runs 2nd in the Kentucky Derby 3rd in the UAE Derby and then goes an wins this such a shock really great for him to bag a win 16 of my 25 league team have now won races this is the biggest surprise of the lot
Jumps Josef Starlin My 2 mile chasers have done so well for me this season Sally Army Mack the Knife and Josef have won alot of races way way ahead of my 2 mile hurdlers who have been truly awful anyway this is Josef's 3rd win and his 2nd graded win. very very proud of my 2 mile chasers Josef did well was not sure he woul see out the trip.

Phillipa Vale Improves for every run and that was her most impressive performance she has some engine under the hood the jockey always looked in control and when he asked the question she was off and away to make it 3 wins from 3 starts.
Lagos Coffee was tempted not to run her she was rated 103 going into this but took the risk won well but was a 0 - 120 handicap hope the handicapper will be kind
well done to the winners and placers this week great to see plenty of first time winners this week' great comms as usual lads all of you are brilliant thanks so much to all the team for your hard work

 Re: Weekly Reaction
My best week ever in SO6. I had 6 winners this week. I also had my first G1 winner of the season.
25 must have been my lucky number today as I won race 25 on the flat and race 25 over jumps. I will need to find a lottery ticket with the number 25 in it.
Fibre Optic won the Stewards Cup running off a very nice weight. He must be coming into form, 2nd last week and 1st this week.
Montcrief Maid won the G1 Irish Champion Hurdle, just pipping Grays horse on the line. She has been there or there about in her previous races, but this is still an unexpected win. She probably benefitted from the fact that John had no runners this week. Come back next week John, we want the best competing each week.
Congratulations to Josh on beating me in the DC championship. He had a magnificent 6 winners today.

 Re: Weekly Reaction
Very proud about winning the Peter Marsh H'cap Chase at Haydock | G2 Hcp with Jumping to Paris!!! And what a finish against Mandolin Wind from Leon who was really unlucky and did race very well too!
Also happy about Calypso King, had high hopes, and he delivered a 3rd in a Group 3 flat race, seems he is my first top flat horse.
Congrats to all winners and placers, comms are fantastic, having so much fun each evening watching the races!
