Got a few that may go well but will probably be battling it out in the handicaps ( which suits me fine! ). Had two winners in maidens last season but didnt really get to see if they could have been good, by the time i got back from my holidays the league had come to an abrupt end.
Good Luck in the Handicappers E.P.W as long as it isnt at my expense!

I don't mind the way things are being set up but you have to wait till the fourth week to enter into handicaps. Is this fair for those trying to win handicap races? Prehaps a mid week maiden schedule so you don't have to wait too long.
Not a complaint just thinking for those who will be anticipating entering in handicaps but have to wait three weeks.
Good luck to all.

I would perhaps have introduced a pre-season maiden schedule for three weeks to give the majority of horses a handicap rating. Under the new system of uploads at any time there also needs to be an enormous amount of maiden races each week to cover the different distances.
Rich has already said that he would penalise players running their horses over incorrect distances heavily.
It will obviously mean as Scatters says no handicaps at all until week four.
It will be interesting to see the new schedule in operation.

Yep, I want handicaps to be difficult to win for the top trainers who are used to instant success and to reward the smaller stables who upload their horses early, don't turn over huge numbers of horses in their games and therefore won't be uploading new types every week.
For that reason I don't intend to have lots and lots of maidens, if your horse hasn't had three runs, tough.
I may relax it to two runs if both those runs have been over the handicap distance, will see how it plays out.

Hi mate, glad to see it's back. Just a quick question as I havent been around at all really. Do I need to start a new game now to upload horses, or can my old games be played?

maybe one of my breeds will do it?
heard ppl are having probs finding extreme chasers
why that is i dont know rarely have that problem myself
usually have too many hence why i brought the Million races to the league
if i'm allowed to those races will be back in the next season
in some shape or form....
not that anarmoured about the uploads situation
but willing to try anything to see racing back as its been away far too long

I really want to get involved in NHC I just have too many horses to trial.
Updated NHC will go live shortly as well, looking over it I wasn't too concerned. There are a few too many 2m races so I'll be looking to push these more towards 2 1/2 miles, especially over fences where there is a lack of decent handicaps but otherwise it flows pretty well.

rich - same boat mate!!! loads to trial, but for nhc - ive trialled flat horses and have an idea of my squad, which will be of similar ability to last year uploads. but nhc horses, i have over 350 to trial, 99% which are donkeys. i only ran a few 2mile trials to see if Mandango Fandango is good, because in my game he won both champion bumpers, supreme novice and e h champion novice, and then 4 fighting fifths, 4 irish champions, and 4 champion hurdles in a career which is just now finished, never losing a race. i know this means nothing but in my trials he wipes the floor with the rest also!!
I LOVE HIM STEVE so im praying he does well in the league!!! and cheers, i like the name 2.. tbh i rarely name them well because my mind goes blank on the day you have to name a load of horses im just sat there thinking pffffffffffffffffffff

So annoying this trial stuff....every one of my horses that are my best over the jumps are my best on the flat!! Bar one or two exceptions....Always think I have good horses until the league starts!!
Have always had strong stayers and think I have one or two challengers with one sprinter and 1 miler that might do well!! When can we start uploading?? Hurricane I have trouble trialling and I only have 40 horses!!!
Mind you that has been shredded from 100+ but 350 to trial SERIOUS!!! That takes some doing good luck!!!

yeah nick i know - im a lowly trainer, and what i do is i just have a flat game, trial my horses each year. the good ones go to the barn and maybe the league if they are my best. the others i trial over jumps and if they can jump either a hurdle or a fence consistently well and do well against some juvenile yardsticks from last season then i keep them on and export them at older ages. so basically i have a number of horses at a load of different ages to trial. i will probably be less thorough than i try to be with the flat so that i can put together a jumps stable!!i did ok in the jumps in my first season , so i just hope i have some who in the trials compete well against the horses who ran well for me in the first season.
