Im playing a jumps only schedule in s05 currently and all i can say is what a massive improvement this is from so4 everything from the schedule and the improvement of horses running in all the right races is just top knotch and its all so much more realistic then so4....i cant speak for the flat racing side of things at the moment but the jumps side alone has made evey penny of the 20quid well spent...well done team so5 pure quality

Do agree with HR in a way, as there have been very few new features. But at least its steady progress, and at an affordable price.

And at least there is someone (Mark) making a great Horse Racing Management sim. Keep up the good work.

Have not started jumps game yet, glad to hear it is great!!

The game horses being in the barn one season is annoying - once you are the top trainer each year you do not want 80 rated horses in your barn, as you consistently want to breed with only the top game horses. Maybe you should get to pick 2-3 each year to stay in barn for the next season. That way you could choose to have one in the barn until it dies.

Easily the best horse racing game I've played, I've played every starters orders and waited a long time for a Jumps Game as good as this, fantastic job!

Totally agree. cant believe that game horses are only in the barn for one season. what a nightmare. Some season there aren't any good ones and then all of a sudden two you've been desperate to breed with are there at the same time.

can u do any breeding or advise on breeding in the trainer mode. would be good to be able to train sons and daughters of a horse you have trained.

Owner mode is a brand new feature of the game that wasn't in SO4??

I started playing SO4 late last year and am in love with the game.

Call me old or whatever, I like the pace of change from SO4 to SO5. Not too much change, not too little. At this rate, I can look forward to an earlier version of SO rather than waiting double the time to play a new version with a whole new different game.

All thumbs up to SO5. 8) 8)

Totally agree with this mate. MUCH happier with evolution rather than revolution as far as the SO series is concerned for me.

The game is potentially far superior to SO4 but it's still riddled to the hilt with severe bugs. I have noticed the AI is a bit better on the track and horses get severely boxed in less, so hold-up horses have less of a hard time.

It's still a bit too easy to win G1 races. Interestingly, winning big sprint races actually seems a lot easier than on SO4. However, there are more brilliant computer horses around, so it has improved in that aspect.

I'm not sure I like the enhanced stat bars for horses, for me part of the fun was the trial and error of racing horses to find out their strengths and weaknesses. With the stat bars it might become a bit too easy to breed absolute monsters. Still, it's not really a big thing, and just a personal opinion.

I sort of agree with that, but then again those stats dont produce every time.

Its like football manager and knowing the pa, it may not be realistic but then again its a computer game.

Paul you can alter the name of the stable by clicking on the stables name and scrolling down to your named stable and altering it using notepad, that way you can have capital letters for the second, third or how many words you want for your stable. Don't forget to right click on properties first then security then user and allow then apply in order to edit

Scroll down where squire? Are you talking in game or in a file out of game? I'd love to be able to get capitals on words...thanks!

Fair enough.

I tried playing Football Manager 2012 and SO5 at the same time yesterday - not the greatest idea I've ever had.
