Post Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
been looking at these times and decided to do some trialling and something strange has happened my horses are slower by about .3 to .5 when I use pacemakers I can only attribute this to the fact that I have been breeding race handy types and they run at a more constant pace any one else seen this ? I am really happy with this as I am seeing some pretty consistant fast times from a mile to 1m3f that's all ive tested

Just 3 runners today promising run by Wanted For Myself in the Chester Cup the race was weird I thought Matt's Cruise Ship run a funny race my horse also run a funny race likes to come off the pace but was always there or therebouts this was on the short side another half a furlong and he would of won cant wait until Ascot as needs at least Gold Cup Distance Leons Horse shes in control I thought was a Handicap Cert leon must of been disappointed with that run well done Kev with somnambulist two in a row Kev.

Gray

Still waiting to break my duck on the flat After that run Wanted for Myself should be Gold Cup Favourite

A winner and a second.

Ruby Tiger 1st, finally get's it right. Step up in class now.
Kerrera 6th in the 1000, just a average performance.
Mtoto 5th in derby trail, a bit disappointing.
Kingmambo 2nd in the 2000, another good performance from my star flat horse.

thanks Gray. I thought your horse was going to get up late on but the post came just in time.

R4 Somnambulist (1st) - first few furlongs were run at a crawl which probably would not have suited most of the runners. Jockey seized the initiative and went to the front about 12f out and got an easy lead. Not sure how much he had left at the end but delighted to see him hang on for another win.
R5 Happy Ranger (5th) - solid effort and managed to pick up a few £.
R8 Hope Springs (7th) - ran much better than I thought she would and only dropped out of contention in the last 1/2f.
R9 Muffin The Mule (17th) - her third race and the third time she's been drawn in the car park. Trip was too short as well this time. Could be very well h'capped if she ever gets a decent draw.
R10 Wild Blue Yonder (11th) - too high in the weights to be competitive in h'caps and not good enough for pattern races.

well done all winners and placers.

Zeltweg (11th) - Craven win was a definite fluke, drop in class needed.
Zaynaat (11th/Last) - Pulled back to rear and then couldn't keep up, bizarre
King Louie (12th) - Hopefully will now have a mark to go handicapping with
Rouen (4th) - Excellent run, a second surprising good run
Volpini (10th) - Not good enough at group level. Hopefully the handicapper will be kind and not put his rating up for running in group company
Fern (13th) - That's 4 poor runs now, is there a 1 runner gamebred race for him?
Untouchable (4th) - Step up in trip worked a treat. 4th in a big handicap is a great result for the yard

The flat team continue to pick up a bit of prize money and are still performing better than the supposedly stronger NH stable.

Well done to the winners and placers and special thanks to everyone for running the races

Gentoo (12th) - Out of depth and will be better over further.
Golden Touch (12th) - Again expected and needs step up.
Capriosa (10th) - Not happy with that performance at all, much better than that.
Zip Line (6th) - Huge run in G3, hopefully won't get hit too hard in handicap as has a good mark.
Flight Of The Gypsies (12th) - Again 1m3f too short needs stiff 1m4f
Honorine (14th) - Looking like a step up necessary as well.

Congrats all on winners and placers

Post Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Guineas runs were pleasing, the 1000 form is good and the 2000 form rang true enough. Hilly Wood will step up to the 10f he needs and Lady of the lake will go to Ascot to place again. Both my horses were near last in those races but did ok, I don't seem to have the problems others do.

The Chester form isn't worth much with all races dominated by front runners or handy types. Chester Cup was the same last season, most were beat after a few furlongs. Cruise Ship had no prep races for Gold Cup so I just ran him the last two weeks to see how tough it was. Chester was a waste of time for him sadly. This is where the problem in the racekit lies. Soft lead in staying race at tight track=win.

Smash Up ran her race. Next stop POW.

Well done to all who did well this week.

Look forward to tomorrow.

R2 - Hakmal (1st) Ridden how he should be ridden today not held up (can i have the same jockey next time)
R3 - Etizaaz (6th) Needs 1m4 so hoping for better in the Oaks
R5 - Almuftarris (4th) First 2 races ridden from the front, 3rd race was ridden mid div, now being held up 3 lengths off everything else God knows HELP
R6 - Mozamyer (6th) Never run any sort of race, hoping for better in the Derby
R7 - Istintaj (1st) Happy with that run from outside draw, all systems go now for the Norfolk big chance
R8 - Zahir (1st) Won this race last season with Rasmeyaa, now Zahir has won it too but now will be retired there's no races left for him to run in
R10 - Badaayer (1st) Starting to get her act together now, will go for the Duke of Cambridge at Ascot now

really good day all my horses made the money in group /listed company

R1 - Historic Fish 2nd only to andys horse in the 1000 gns ideally needs another 1f

R2- Shoot the pot(4th) ran a cracker led to the 1/2 furlong needs another 1f at least

R3-Frozen In Time (3rd)ran well enough got options with her 1m2f-1m4f

R6-Green Man(2nd) second to an easy winner but stuck to it really well on a course too sharp shown enough to be a big player in the classic races

R8-Countess of ayr(3rd) ultra consistant 4th place all at different distances found trouble here irish ledger her aim

congrats all runners
