Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Going well Steve, can you get through the season of being all in the money I wonder?
Congrats to Ghostzapper, you have a superb dirt horse there, although I do think Rachael Alexandra is going to give you nightmares next week and then at Belmont, she is about a stone better on dirt than on turf so this weeks run was just a pipe-opener to get qualified.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
I can relax and enjoy the rest of the season now.
Ghostzapper I think won it at the start, got a nice position in mid field. Land of dreams 3rd, got caught on the line. Flourshing 4th, looked good in my trials but they turned out to be awful. Magic Gleam 1st, another nice sprinter.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
R23 Somnambulist (1st) - needs 2m2f as a minimum so thought he would finish a long way behind tbh. got an easy lead and never looked like getting beat. delighted with the win and very surprised. R24 Scriptwriter (5th) - ran ok but didn't see out the last half furlong. R26 Sir Ivor (4th) - never got into the race. R27 Bright Orange (6th) - thought the trip would suit but was never involved. looks to be in the handicapper's grip. R30 Tombstone (5th) - solid effort. wasn't good enough. R32 Hedgeley Road (10th) - outpaced throughout. wants a stiffer track or an extra 1f. R33 Cry Me A River (13th) - ditto
well done all winners and placers.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Too Much William (6th) - Easily his best run of the season albeit off bottom weight Get What She Wants (6th) - A furlong too far, main target is the Ebor Moohimm (5th) - Another solid run, he is very consistent. In the money every time Little Frankie (1st) - 2 out of 2 and more to come. Still well handicapped and another furlong will help Rod Roach (11th) - Poor run, weakened from a long way out Rehearsal Hall (7th) - Short of room all the way to the finish. More to come
Well done to all winners and placers.

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Week 3 finally brought some winners. Three to be exact. Take Notice had to work for it in what I thought would be a cakewalk. As far as breeding and CK goes Take Notice is everything. Everything she drops is exceptional. Character Flaw somehow won the Qatar Handicap. No explaining that win. Come On Now won shortening up with a feather weight in the Follow Totepool On Facebook Handicap. Inallitsglory ran a superb race in the Kentucky Derby to finish fourth but alas I couldn't beat Ghost and his namesake. Nice win pal. Congrats to all winners and participants for another exciting week in the final SO5 league.

Let me tell you 1.5 secs is a hefty improvement actually its huge i am happy to knock off 0.05 every 3 or 4 gens The answer is there is no answer you could go on forever and find better its endless really

Re: Flat : Talk Reaction Banter
Great Day 3 winners 1 2nd 1 5th Oaks hopeful Reappearance lost her unbeaten record but was mighty unlucky
Race 1 Finnly 6th never got going hampered in final furlong
Race 3 Reappearance 2nd ran a cracker thought sh won but Davy's horse just got the line in time Still hopeful she can go well in the Oaks
Race 4 Smoking Express WINNER great run overtaken in final furlong but came back for more pleased
Race 5 Sheppard Express looses unbeaten record poor performance in 5th ran flat today
Race 8 Bymount WINNER i thought he was well handicapped and thats why he ran here instead of the Chester vase won well with a shade in hand not sure he will make the top 5 in derby though
Race 9 Dead Eyed Sniper WINNER never thought for a second she would stay on that going but she did
