Post All Weather Championship Week 8 Preview
It is official the All Weather Championship is THE Championship to be involved in. Regularly attracting large fields of 15 or more runners whereas some Group races are struggling to get half a dozen.

So with that in mind and due to popular demand I'll be posting a weekly preview as we get to the pointy end of season.

Leading trainer Padraig Hogan is back this week after a week off looking to increase his lead of 16 points over the rest of the field. Main contenders Darren Thompson, Stu Grey and Daniel French all saddle runners this week too as they look to close the gap. And with plenty of races to still to come in the remaining weeks of the season anyone can still come flying home out of the pack with a wet sail.

It's week 8 out of 13, we're rounding the home turn and heading for the final strait...who will be crowned inaugural All Weather Champion???

So after that over the top intro, just the three all weather races from Newcastle this week! Here's your guide;

Race 8 - Betdaq AW 2YO Championship Leg 3 - 6f - (14 run)
Daniel French saddles the 9/4F Mountain Kingdom. The horse already has a win and second to it's name in Week 7 & Week 5 so will be hard to beat here.

Latest odds;
Mountain Kingdom...Daniel French...9/4F
Blue Peter Revival...Nick Driver...13/2
Sammuel Moorse...Paul Rhodes...7/1

Race 9 - Betfred MD Championship Leg 3 - 1m3f - (21 run)
Daniel French sends out the favourite here too with Bering Strait. Was a winner last time out at Ascot but has no form to speak of on the dirt.

Latest odds;
Bering Strait...Daniel French...5/1F
King Ray...Obi Wan...8/1
Mitzi Maguire...Padraig Hogan...9/1
Ortea Fondant...Matt Cooper...9/1

Race 10 - Ladbrokes Marathon Leg 3 - 2m - (13 run)
Grayham Clutterbuck saddles the favourite in the last race with Mardessa Coasting who ran a strong second in the Northumberland Plate last week, its only previous run on the dirt. If that form holds will be hard to beat here.

Latest odds;
Mardessa Coasting...Grayham Clutterbuck...4/1F
Belt Woods...Obi Wan...11/2
Mighty Quest...David Hooley...13/2

Good luck to all the runners and trainers!
