 Early 2yo Group Races
Just had a horse win a couple of early season 2 y o group races in Australia. I think I use the pjr schedule but just wondering what everyone's thoughts on these races? Are they actually of a decent standard? So far I've found these Group races easy to win, but come Royal Ascot and proper European races, the form doesn't hold up.
There's a particular 5f Group 3 race where which rarely attracts more than 6 horses on my schedule and I beat unraced horses rated over 105 every time by about 10 lengths! Seems very odd! Do those ratings actually mean anything when unraced?

 Re: Early 2yo Group Races
I've found that if my horse has decent potential and has fully realised it's potential bar at 2yo then it will win all it's races. I think the 1m races at the end of the year at the breeders cup are the easiest. I won them easy well with 2 horses that shouldn't get more than 6f and had only ever raced over 6f

 Re: Early 2yo Group Races
I think that these miler type horses and all that can win the shorter races early on but come Royal Ascot time and their distance ability has increased and they can't do 6f any more.

 Re: Early 2yo Group Races
Well i had a 2yo that won in australia i think it was the 6f magic millions and it was on her debut and it became a a good horse for me, to me a good group race is only good if the the horses are good,
