 Re: New Beginnings
The game AI seems to be following preps better and also not putting a horse in every race thats available. Been hoping for a better AI when it comes to where it declares game horses for a long time. You still get the Kentucky Oaks winner coming back the next day in the Derby or a Belmont Stakes runner who goes in the Brooklyn Handicap instead. This game horse has run a campaign so far that looks like one I plan for my own runners. Two prep races for the Derby which is how it should be instead of the numerous horses I see with 5-10 races before the Derby.

 Re: New Beginnings
And then you have this unrealistic AI campaign for a 2yo filly. One of my cast offs coming back to haunt me. Three races in a week??? Eight races in two months??? Can't stand seeing this type of AI campaign. Not realistic at all IMO.

 Re: New Beginnings
So I have just started to breed again. Still very early in the process, but hopefully my horses will be decent enough soon. This is my favorite so far. I think I haven't had a larger margin of victory in SO5 There's a lot of potential left in the line, and I feel a lot can be realized soon.

I hope I'll actually be able to use my breeding whenever an online league will start. Being fairly new to the community I understand how big my chances at good results would likely be, but it kind of would excite me more.
I wonder how my filly stacks up against your Graceland, PJ.

I wonder how my filly stacks up against your Graceland, PJ. U next step is to get full potential 3yo bar, sometimes u got to go back to go forward. I like u speed and cruising bars. It doesn't matter how many leagues someone has been in because when a new game comes out we all rookies. Id say to all newbies is just breed the best u can and have fun and enjoy it because a few newbies come in the last league last season and had didn't have group 1 horses and soon disappeared.

 Re: New Beginnings
Visions of Secretariat. Wins the Belmont by 13 3/4 to remain undefeated. The game handicapper is biased towards females. If this was a male he'd get a 140 rating. I was hoping to get to 140 in 8 starts or less starting from a maiden race. 136 will do. Seven Journeys Her important stats in numbers form and those of her parents... Overall total wise she will end up a lesser specimen than her parents but so far looks much more talented than them. Her parents were selected for their superior numbers in Potential, Extra Speed Rating, Cruising Burst and Finish Application.

The potential could be higher at this stage and his parameters Accel, Speed and Start are subpar but the rest is scary. Did you go on and breed something nice out of her?

 Re: New Beginnings
I just had to try and squeeze the Santa Anita Handicap in between the first start of the year (My made up feature at Bowie) and the Dubai World Cup. Seven Journeys suffers her first defeat in the worst way possible. The winner broke free in the stretch and the jockey was triumphantly raising his fist in the air while my horse made a furious rally. It really looked like my horse would get up by a nose. She missed by probably as close as a horse can miss in this game. I'm regretting choosing "Don't go clear" jockey instructions to save some in the tank for the World Cup.

 Re: New Beginnings
Just started breeding some flat horses again after 3 months and this nice horse just popped up, possibly my highest rated 2yo.

i am about 200 seasons into national breeding I'll send u a few different one's tomm, I still got u email. I've just done my jumps trail's the last week or so and I won't be breeding any more until the new year. I'll send u a few front runners, I've only bred about 20 or so grand national horses and I think they are a poor lot. I'm less than impressed with my jumps team as a whole, a poor lot if u ask me.

 Re: New Beginnings
Interesting horse here - The recent winner of the triple crown. I threw my powerhouse Kentucky Oaks winner at him in the Preakness and he withstood that challenge so he's a legitimate talent. Don't believe I've ever seen such a high class horse refuse to take part on multiple occasions. All three of those non finishes in his form are "Refused to take part". The dead last finish was an injury. Take out those races and he's undefeated. "I won your precious triple crown ~ I ain't running no more!"
