 Re: Breeding season
All year round, as long as the schedule has races for those dates then you can set horses to breed.

 Re: Breeding season
I got the breeding center, but there are no unowned horses in it.

 Re: Breeding season
Probably because you are in first season. There won't be any game horses to breed from until 2nd season

 Re: Breeding season
I don't think you can breed in the last 5 months of the racing season.

 Re: Breeding season
you can breed up to 2 weeks before end of season but breed ASAP earlier the better IMO

 Re: Breeding season
Yeah first season I spend a bit of time in auctions looking for decent horses that may not win races and prize money for me, they go into the barn and I just start producing yearlings that might make a profit or randomly be decent. Normally I look for 6 year olds and up with graded wins earlier in their career, making sure they are cheap (under 300k each, I usually grab 4-6 of them).
Have to clear that barn by season two or three, make room for the horses that are really good and could produce a monster, but it starts me off well enough and I've had success doing it this way.
