Re: A True Star, Champion of the World
Reminds me of a colt i had in starters orders 5 that i bred called Arc Of The Covenant he was a 1m6f horse but he won his mile maiden by 12 lengths won the racing post trophy by 5 lengths, won the 2,000 guineas by a neck, the derby by 5, the ledger in a complete 11 length canter, and smashed them in the Arc by 8 lengths, the following season he won the coronation cup at Epsom, The ascot gold cup, The prix du Cadran, The prix royal oak(french leger) and the Melbourne cup after him i could never find any other horse who could win at a mile and 2 and a half miles and he was the best horse i have ever seen in starters orders 5, hopefully when i get breeding in starters orders 6 i can find me one just like him or somehow better!!!

I never seem to find a horse that can win over different distances? Obviously my breeding isnt up to scratch! Do you all breed sprinters with stayers etc? or how to you go about achieving the right mix

Re: A True Star, Champion of the World
From what i remember arc's dam was a top champion miler/mile and a quarter horse and the sire was a long distance champion(won every big long distance race) that i had to wait 4 seasons to breed with, if truth be told you can do this 100 times and get 10 good horses but you still have to be very lucky to get a complete freak, I got lucky!!!
