Starting To Like It Again
Was pretty disenchanted with the lack of improvements done to the other aspects of the game besides the 3-D so I took a hiatus. Have been tooling up my game recently with my modded schedule and jockey/trainer lists and new tracks from my latest SO5 mod. Have been toying around with a few throw away games just now knowing the patch coming means no saving.
I guess when I get my earnings to where money is no object I wont care where I run my horse but the stable home feature makes me want to run close to home for realism sake. In real life no trainer from Laurel Park would load their nag on a van and drive across the country to steal a minor purse at Rillito Downs.
Here is a game starter 4yo with modest ability who I have been trying to find the right spot for here in the Maryland area. Debuted over his head in a Grade 1 showing uncontrollable speed. Second out in what I thought was a cinch spot he runs up the track on the turf. Next he heads to wild n wonderful West Virginia where he again shows too much speed and chokes in the stretch at the bullring. The trainer in me says I must get him to relax. Off with the visor and on with the noseband. Shuttle down to Colonial for a easy maiden race with the instructions "Don't lead - Race inside - Challenge later". Does it all perfectly and runs off in the stretch.

It's these run of the mill training adventures I find most enjoyable in this game. Just a little training story about a modest horse I hope you enjoyed.
