Now first of all before I write this post, I have been a fan of Starters Orders since the original and think Mark does an AWESOME job for us all etc however...........

I'm just totally confused at why SO6 has been released so incomplete. All the other games from what I can remember were released with virtually the same game you were playing until the next instalment. Obviously you had patches but nowhere near the present level of changes. SO4 and SO5 demonstrated leaps in the gameplay and layout etc so I just cant get my head round SO6. I'm yet to buy SO6 due to the feedback and im going well in SO5. I've always bought the game on release day previously.

The forum has a whole area dedicated to development and ideas, what is the point if none of it is taken on board and used? The game could be so much better if the owner game was tweaked, breeding, the gallops, better AI in regards to the powerful stables been strong with better horses in the game etc etc. I just dont really see anybody's suggestions really been implemented into the game. I personally think the new graphics should have been added into SO5 as a taster to keep us playing SO5 for longer/divert attention from the new game whilst the core elements of game play were changed for SO6.

Having said all this I do think pressures from us gamers have led to a rushed game. In future I think everyone needs to step back and accept a new game will come when it comes. Ultimately though we are the purchasers of the game and the main critics. Unless our ideas are taken aboard SO is in danger of going backwards rather than developing into the superb racing game it is and should remain to be.

The game hasn't been released yet. Mark chose to release a beta version, prior to official release. Hopefully the official release will be before the end of the year, as the game is obviously still being worked on.
