Post Starters Orders 6 - A few queries ....
Hey Guys :)

I took the plunge a couple of nights ago and upgraded from SO5 to SO6 and so far I have been pretty impressed. The 3D graphics are amazing!

I have a few questions thought if I may ....

1) Can you change the camera when in jockey mode or does it have to be the fixed camera on the horse?
2) How do I make sure my horse gets a good start when coming out of the stalls? After almost every race the jockey is reporting (when I am riding) that the horse missed the break - what do I have to press?
3) Why do maiden horses in the game have a rating before they have even run?

Hope someone can help! Many Thanks.

Rob

Not many posters on the forums in general.

1.) To turn in jockey mode, I think you use Q and E. I don't own the game so only played with the demo, but there are keys to turn in jockey mode. It's the letter keys last I knew, but which ones I don't remember. Play around. Might also be in the game manual which should be in the game folder. I haven't toyed with the game in months. Would be nice to see a control UI pop up in jockey mode that shows you which keys to press to move, look, or jump that can be turned off in options.
2.) No idea on what to press to get a better start to a race. That's likely more due to the horse's training. Buy the starting stalls upgrade for your stable. Horse could also just be bad at starting and it could breed out (like horses that won't settle).
3.) No idea on why maiden horses have ratings before running. Could be a bug. Could be a feature. That occurred in SO5, too. Start a new game, skip a season, and your unraced horses (save the 3 year old) have ratings. Think even if you don't skip a season, your two or three (depending on your difficulty setting) oldest horses still have a rating. Eventually, that's no longer the case and is just for starting out. Otherwise, no horses can be run in handicaps early on. If it's still happening a few seasons in, then it could be a bug or it could be related to the horse's parents.

Cant answer 1 or 2 because I don't ride them but number 3 was fixed on the last patch and that patch is 38. If u have 38 then u need to tell mark.
