Re: Start It 2.242 (Hollywood Park)
It shouldn't crash. I'll look into it. It might just need to have an increase in game pool.

Re: Start It 2.242 (Hollywood Park)
I posted a poll looking at what courses that people liked the most. I listed the 9 that I like to race at the best (due to looks/realism). Also, if there are any courses you think I should redo (I am going to fix the water of earlier courses, so if that is the reason for a redo, do not post that course) please comment. Thank You for your support.

I ran the "Autodays" function for an entire season and the schedule didn't crash for me, so it's okay on my end. Game pool seems fine, too, with good-sized fields and plenty of variety with the horses...it was fun to "review" the completed season to see how things unfolded. Only scheduling issue was with the Breeders Cup and some horses running on both days in overlapping type of races such as the Juvenile Turf/Juvenile Fillies, Dirt Mile/Mile, Distaff/F&M Turf. What I'll probably do is edit the schedule and go back to the original seven Breeders Cup races all on one day (and perhaps add an eighth), as I feel most of the newer races are superfluous anyway. Down the road, I may go "really old school" and ditch the Breeders Cup altogether, thereby returning to prominence several races that sadly don't have much significance these days. Anyone remember Belmont's "Fall Championship Series" - the Marlboro Cup, Woodward, and Jockey Club Gold Cup?? Give me those three great races over the Breeders Cup anyday.

Re: Start It 2.242 (No Crowds on all mod courses)
Hey everyone. I have re-installed and fully updated my S06 game and now when I install all the start It files I get no visual crowds on all of the modified courses. I tried turning the crowds on and off and still nothing. Then I re-installed everything and still there are no crowds. I see crowds without the mod installed, so it doesn't seem to be the basic game. Am I just doing something different or has the new game updates changed all your mod files so the crowds don't appear anymore?
Anybody else with this problem?

Re: Start It 2.242 (Hollywood Park)
The crowds don't appear until the courses are re-exported (using the batch exporter). You could re-export them yourself or you can wait til the next update of the mod. That will have all of the courses I have made re-exported (so crowds show up).

Re: Start It 2.242 (Hollywood Park)
Pibb, I also grew up in your era. I could walk over to Belmont Park from my house and saw all of the greats of the 70's and 80's race there live. I was a big fan of Forego and saw almost all his NY races at the track. What an atmosphere when he ran. Good old days! I am currently working on a mod with jocks, trainers and silks from that era. I am making a schedule with all major races from 1983(last year before Breeders Cup started). Many Many thanks to MJ for making all his great tracks. He is going to make Atlantic City, Meadowlands and Hialeah in a future release. These tracks will be in the schedule..... All the best, Meast32

Re: Start It 2.242 (Hollywood Park)
Meast32, Those were great times for the sport! I started following seriously in '77 when I was just twelve, and the sheer number of star horses around that time was staggering. There were big races throughout the year, and the best horses often faced off more than once in the fall. I remember after the Triple Crown races in '78 when Belmont's fall handicap races were shaping up to feature not only Seattle Slew and Affirmed, but Forego, Alydar, Vigors, and Exceller! Of course Forego had to retire in July after the Suburban, Alydar got hurt at some point after the Whitney, and Vigors disappeared after the Hollywood Gold Cup (no Internet back then, so even locally here in L.A. we didn't know what was up exactly...turns out he was injured and never raced again). But we still had Slew, Affirmed and Exceller in various combinations for those three Fall races - them were the days!
That's so great that you got to see Forego so many times - used to catch his races on the network broadcasts...I especially remember the Woodward in '77. As a newer fan at the time who missed his heroics up until that point, it was exciting to see him on the tube. Looking forward to your classic '83 schedule, and can't wait to see MJ's Hialeah - his Hollywood Park is a masterpiece! Take care, Mr. Pibb

Hi MJ--
Will Start IT run on the Mac version of the game? I'm really missing your mods now that I've transitioned over to the full Mac version.
Thanks!

Re: Start It 2.242 (Hollywood Park)
It should run on the full Mac version. I have never tested it on Mac (since I don't have a Mac) but I would assume it would work.

Re: Start It 2.242 (Hollywood Park)
Can someone possibly help me? I downloaded the 2.20 mod and installed it. The game starts up fine but when i go to start up it says please wait working, then freezes. This has also happened when i went to the schedule editor to see if the new tracks were included. I'm on mac and i overwritten everything that was in the data, 3d, and gfx files. Can someone tell me what im missing please.
Thanks in advance.

MJ--
Can you quickly post a reminder of the installation instructions on a Mac? Thanks!

Re: Start It 2.242 (Hollywood Park)
Dolphin2421, Mac's are not my specialty (or at all) as I use PC. I believe that all download instructions should be the same, but I have no idea.
Mkvitz89, Not sure what you are missing. I would suggest redownloading and reinstalling.

 Re: Start It 2.242
Hi All! Just letting you know that the next set of courses are almost done. Just finishing up Northlands Park. Then just Hastings and Sam Houston left. Should be out by end of the month. Then I will take another break til May (since I am working on some other stuff for the game). If there are any courses you would like me to do (US/Canada or international) that aren't listed in the courses that I am planning on making (or are, just gives me more of an incentive to do them and may get them moved up soon), please comment below. As always, have a great day and enjoy the races!

 Re: Start It 2.242
MJ,
I am still working on my US historical Mod. My schedule will include the big tracks and the Meadowlands (turf and dirt) Atlantic City (turf and dirt) and old Hialeah (turf and dirt). When you can do those tracks at your convenience I will complete the Mod.... Jockeys and Trainers from the 70's til today, silks from all the best stables and a schedule with all the big races from the era.
Thanks for all your efforts with the great tracks you create.....
