Keep him, he's gota full extra speed bar. Try him on soft ground. First of breed him with fast ground mares and then mares who got better cruising burst. Also mares who get better accel bars. Tell us how u get on.

Don't think I've ever seen a full extra speed bar and I have come to believe that extra speed means at least a horse who can compete. This horse's form is bad. I did notice that he has no finish application. Does he show a lot of speed only to falter in the last furlong? Personally I am not a fan of 5 furlong breeding indicator horses. His best distance may actually be 4 furlongs. His "Softer" preference might also mean he only runs on soft which he hasn't yet.

Edit - oh yeah as Ghost pointed out that cruising burst stinks. May be the answer there.

He actually gets detached by 5 lengths early, then runs on slightly better near finish.

Will step him up in trip on softer ground before sending to breeding barn.

See what we get, will keep you posted.

Have you tried the jockey option; 'dont trail behind' ?

A sprint horse with lousy start and accelleration stats is an Asda meat pie job in my very humble
oppinion.

I had one like this in SO5. He was utterly useless unless he got soft or heavy ground, then he'd walk home in the top sprints. I used him in my NH breeding in the end to try to help increase their speed.

Not tried him yet on soft/heavy so will give that a go.

The step up to 6f didn't work, neither did the 'don't trail' command.

I couldn't possibly send this horse to Asda, he has become something of a character around the yard, but yes his start and acceleration stats aren't great.

Will be breeding from him just out of curiosity.

Where did you come up with that kind of spreadsheet for keeping track? It looks pretty cool!

Just created on excel.

If you have the office package I can make it available as a download.

Nice work atigger.

Another feature you might want to add is:

The breeding partner/offspring are colored either pink or blue on mine and offsprings will have a hyperlink to its parents on its own home page.

The parent will have hyperlinks to all their offspring.

Something like this:

Sometimes I wonder if I'm going completely nuts, carefully recording the breeding, history, etc. of bits of data .

I know what you mean!

But it does make the game more immersive.

This is the breeding chain I use.

Again all horses in the family tree can be linked.

Just bang them all in one folder at the moment.

I like the idea of going back 20 generations, might work on that a bit next week.
