Post You are not going to believe this!
For anybody in here who follows British racing in the real world.

A couple of weeks ago I started a new game in SO6. Of the five horses provided I sold four, and kept one 2yo. I renamed him Kilimanjaro.

He was a middle distance horse 1m 4f. He had three races at 2, obviously without any expectation, although he acquitted himself well showing clearly he would need 1m 4f.

In his 3yo year, his first race was the Lingfield Derby Trial in May. Second fav, he won it very nicely going away from the others at the line.

NOW, in the real world, today in the Lingfield Derby Trial, A. Obrien had a horse entered callled, yup, Kilimanjaro ridden by Ryan Moore. When I saw the card at lunch time, my jaw dropped, I nearly fell off my seat. He was second fav (around 6/1) to a long odds-on (2/5) Coolmore hotpot called Christopher Marlowe trained by John Gosden.

Out of pure loyalty I had a few shillings on Kilimanjaro, I got equivalent of about 15/2 in Betfair.

Kilimanjaro won, going away at the line.

It had exactly the same running style as my SO6 game horse - out the back, and starting a long run down the outside in the straight.

People, on my son's life, this is totally genuine. I have the evidence to prove it. And prior to starting my new gane a few weeks ago, I had no idea A. O'Brien had a 3yo middle distance horse called Kilimanjaro.

I still can't reconcile with it. :o It's just too spooky!

Ps - My game horse Kilimanjaro next ran in, and won, the Epsom Derby.

Surely it's got to be too much to ask. It would be totally insane if it materialises.

I think he's quoted at around 33's for the Derby. I also expect he is well down the Coolmore pecking order for Epsom and unlikely to run.

But hey, weirder things have happened.

Did you watch the racing today?

He is in the derby
The Ballydoyle Derby pecking Order has been torn to shreds over past month

JFK - Bombed
Giovani Canaletto - Set Back
Ol'Man River - Blew up
Sir Isaac Newton - Bombed
Jamaica - Sadly Died

Aloft Highland Reel Archangel Raphael yet to run

Nevis won this Race in 2013 and never ran again went down under
I see Kilimanjaro and Hans Holbein as Queens Vase/Leger Types but may
have to go for the derby the way things are going
Dante is going to be interesting as JFK Aloft & OR could all run

I was very impressed with Hans Holbein the other day at Chester. He was fit as a flee, and I noted that he has such a nice smooth action, skips over the ground. Ryan Moore put him to the sword and he delivered, nicely.

Am inclined to agree with you that they are both more Leger types. But if the ground came up with a bit of give in it at Epsom (unlikely), I'd be quite sweet about Hans Holbein.

We shall see.

Similar profile to mine. Mine also culminated in a win in the Japan Cup, but its final handicap rating was 131.

BTW - how on Earth do you post jpegs in here? I can't see an "attach file" button.

Never knew the news about Jamaica - What happened? Injuried on the gallops?

As of Aiden's derby hopes.

Dont think Giovanni Canoletto will make it, He maybe aimed at Irish Derby with some prep run in between.
We will see tomorrow what John F Kennedy is made of.
Same applies for Ol'Man river, that wasnt his running in guineas.
Sir Assac Newton just got bogged down in the ground at Chester although i believe he still should have won.
Highland Reel ran an okay race in the french guineas, He defo needs further that a sharpish mile.
Dont think Aloft is up there as he doesnt run his best horses in Racing Post trophy.
Hans Holban wont be quick enough to win a derby, i personally aim him at the Queens Vase.

Just a question for you... Whats happened to Century? Doesnt ran after Queens Vase.. Looks an okay staying prospect..
