Post Undulations at Rosehill Gardens
Just wondering how Flemington Racecourse is with undulations. I know the 1200m straight course is basically perfectly flat but I can't get any information on the rest of the course. I'm assuming the rest is pretty flat but I want to know for sure. I am currently working on a realistic Flemington to give the Melbourne Cup some more flash. Any information would be great!

I've always thought that Flemington was reasonably flat. I can't ever recall anyone from race callers, jockeys, tipsters or the media ever mentioning undulations around the track.
It would be cool if Mark could one day update the Flemington track so we can have straight 1200m (straight six) races.

Just posted my Flemington course here http://www.startersorders.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=11877.

You can run 6f races down the straight.

Now going to focus on Rosehill Gardens. Seems pretty flat. Does anyone know if there are any undulations in the course?

Either Rosehill or Randwick - I can't remember which one - has a rise at the top of the home straight.
If you 'youtube' some races from those two tracks, you will see it and usually the commentator will mention it.

Randwick has a rise in the home straight...

Rosehill is fairly flat, they have a few chutes with the traditional golden slipper starting on a chute on the inside of the course that meets with the other track... check out http://www.racenet.com.au for anything to do with racing in Australia& New Zealand..

direct link to rosehill should help you.. https://www.racenet.com.au/tracks/nsw/rosehill

Yes. I started it last week but having been on vacation for the entire week I haven't had a chance to finish this.
I should be done soon. I need to get my March update to the Start It US schedule first (which should be tomorrow) and then I'll be able to get work done on Rosehill.

Hi mj it's great to know your still working on Aust courses friend, with Rosehill Gardens the 1200m/6F has a chute of it's own and thank you for a brilliant job well done on the Flemington course, people like you are needed here as you make the game first class.
once again, Thank you mj
